Esperides Beach Resort

Nous etions dans les chambres non refaites et elles sont propres et correct. Juste une douche serait mieux qu'une baignoire.les repas et activités sobt tres bien et il y a meme des animateurs français. Les animations sont top (spectacle, groupes, chansons..)

This is an honest review . We was meant to stay at Stella palace in Crete over Easter but our flights were cancelled due to the strikes in Greece . We managed to get our money back and had to re book a hotel within a week . Unfortunately we couldn’t get Stella at the price we originally booked for so we booked this hotel in Faliraki . Ok so when we first entered the hotel I noticed a fusty smell and I wasn’t massively impressed . A lady was at the desk complaining about her room so I was very apprehensive at the start . I had already upgraded my rooms on booking . When I got to the room it was very dated . My son’s rooms view was facing a brick wall which he wasn’t bothered about as he’s 18 but still it wasn’t great . The rooms weren’t that clean , shabby and the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. It was 3 am in the morning when we arrived so in all honesty I just wanted my bed . I woke up the next morning and explored the hotel more . There are areas in the hotel that are 5 star worthy as in the stylish designs and cleanliness so it made me feel a little bit better about the room which I would say is more like a 2 /3 star apartment. The pools were nice and the kids club . The water slides were rubbish and dated and kids were getting stuck half way down . The drinks are poured in paper cups and the food in the main restaurant was poor ! It was cold , slow at stocking up and repetitive. I hardly ate tbh and lived off pasta . The kids hardly ate and lived off pancakes and chips . I felt this and the rooms spoiled the holiday ! However the food in the dinner area was a lot better and there was donuts candy floss and waffles in the snack bar . The entertainment was good, not amazing but good , we played pool towards the end of the holiday and the kids were in the amusement area . The beach isn’t a beach it’s basically gravel . All in all the hotel has 5 star qualities mixed with 2 star qualities so maybe that’s why it has a 4 star rating . The shops over the road are cheaper for inflatables than the shop in the hotel . Also the hotel rooms are so noisy there’s no chance of sleep here . The maids are walking into your room at 8am and you never get a break , I’m not sure what they did apart from change a bin and towels because twice our bed wasn’t changed . I just don’t see the need of them walking in so early in the morning . I get if it was like 11am but it starts from 7:30 am and there so so loud . We had a nice holiday because as a family we had fun but for someone who goes abroad 3/4 times a year in 4/5star hotels I think the hotel is very misleading with the rooms and food . How we like I said some areas are stylish and spotless I just think it needs a massive update in a few areas . We went to Rhodes town and that’s beautiful there’s a bus outside the hotel that takes you there for 3 euros . We went to faliraki beach and trust me it’s an absolute dump I wouldn’t bother . We came over Easter bank holiday weekend as a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. The whole hotel was Lovely and clean throughout, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. food was good, but not alot of variety on the evening buffet alot the same pizza chips spaghetti bolognaise. Great evening entertainment. Its a lovely family friendly hotel. We enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this hotel.

Just returned from a week at this hotel over the Easter holidays with my husband and 13 year old son. Excellent week for all of us. The hotel was lovely and clean. We stayed in one of the older rooms but was still clean and spacious. Housekeeping came everyday and replaced all towels with fresh ones. All staff were lovely and helpful. The entertainment (Pink Wave 🤙) team were brilliant. My son was a huge fan of all of them. They weren't pushy at all about taking part in the activities but we did them anyway and thoroughly enjoyed them. Evening entertainment was good and mixed. The only criticism I had about it was when an act played on the pool stage you couldn't really hear them if were sat inside the blue bar. Which I thought was a shame and unfair on the act. Bus to Rhodes Town (bus stops right outside hotel), was only couple of euros and depending on how busy took average of 25mins. This is worth a visit, very picturesque. However 15mins the other way to Faliraki was completely different, run down and very much a dive, maybe in a couple of months might be completely different. Overall fully enjoyed our week and would definitely recommend to families.

Disappointing Stay – Would Not Return We stayed at Esperides Hotel in Rhodes and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The biggest issue was the beds – they were incredibly hard and uncomfortable, to the point of being almost unmanageable. Sleep was a struggle every night, which really impacted the overall experience. The food was average at best. Lunch was the better meal of the day, while dinner felt like eating in a large, noisy school canteen – not exactly the relaxing atmosphere you’d hope for on holiday. The pool area was a decent size and the sunbed area was pleasant, which was a plus. However, the pool itself was absolutely freezing and hard to enjoy for long. The hotel is right on the beach, which is great, and the grounds were clean and well-maintained. The rooms, although advertised as recently renovated, still felt very dated – old TVs and worn furnishings made them feel more tired than refreshed. Overall, between the uncomfortable beds and the underwhelming amenities, I wouldn’t choose to return. There are better options out there for a similar price.

Spring break Great place to combine exercise and easy living. Food was diverse and very tasteful. Gym ok. Excellent value for money spent.
