More a holiday camp than a hotel. It’s cheap, it’s busy and it’s enjoyable if you like this sort of thing. Rooms in blocks, like chalets spread over a huge area. Not great if you have mobility issues, as it can be hilly. Also not a place that you can get picturesque holiday photos anywhere outside. Rooms clean, very basic but functional. We had a few issues, birds gathering and pooing on our balcony and furniture so we couldn’t use it. Air con not working, had it fixed and walked in to a dripping air con that had saturated a whole case full of clothes. Staff are pleasant, but I would say ineffectual. The leak we found at night and were calmly told to put a towel under it, that they were ‘only’ night staff and to speak to housekeeping in the morning. Food options ok but it is like being in a school canteen, you have to grab for your life and many people have little manners. You end up doing the same after a few days, and it’s exhausting. You get your hot food, but are waiting 10 minutes for them to restock forks. You have a dish for your cereal, but then the milk runs out and by the time they refill, you have had enough of waiting. I’m sure it may be quieter out of season or earlier, but we were exhausted by it the whole holiday and ‘escaped’ for a civilised meal on a few occasions. Sun beds are hard to secure, unless you are out at dawn and the pool areas can be very loud. The flumes are fabby for the kids though. Theres also a tennis court, beach volleyball court, boules and outdoor chess. Never saw anyone on the volleyball and tennis but it was very hot during our stay. Entertainment staff very friendly too. However the days activities and night show are only posted on the day, so you can’t really plan if you want to go out. The main two big pools (together) with bars have daytime activities which are loud but look fun if you like this type of thing. Aqua aerobics, water polo, silly cooking class, yoga, staff dressed as kids characters etc. If it’s busy at night, there are not enough chairs in the bar areas and you can’t always get a seat for the show, as this is often in the open air amphitheatre. Drinks ok- very, very sweet though and no fresh juices, everything is sugar and additive overload. Wine and draught beer (2 options of each) are ok though. Snack bar during the day is great for kids - burgers, fries etc 12-4pm and sweet treats and icecream. It’s about a 20 min walk to the Faliraki beach and main Faliraki, where you need to pay between 20-30 euros to have 2 sun beds for the day. Beaches are pebbly and very busy, so with children you definitely need aqua shoes. A few buses operate from hotel to other beaches and Rhodes town but do check times as often only 1/2 times down in the morning and back later that day and at a cost (around 9euros an adult and 5 euros a child return) Would we come back? Possibly if a good deal out of season. Not a luxury or relaxing holiday though
