Kiambi Safaris Lodge

We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful lodge. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed both canoe, sunset cruise and a game drive and can definitely recommend these activities. Especially the game drive was amazing. The tents are cozy and functional.

My booking into Kiambi was pretty random but what a find! To get the full experience of the lower Zambezi I’d look no further. It has it all: easily accessible from Lusaka, direct exposure to the true wilderness of the mighty Zambezi, comfortable accommodation with a variety of options to suit one’s pocket, great food with excellent chefs who accommodate a number of dietary options (in my case, vegan); superb elevated views across and way up the river, attentive and friendly staff, excellent river and game guides and activities that include: sunset game drives by boat; fishing; transportation by boat to the world class Lower Zambezi Park for an inland game drive for superb game and bird viewing, excellent and attentive. Right up there with one of my best ever wilderness experiences. Thank you to Janine and the rest of the management and staff.

Alle huisjes en tented chalets hebben prachtig uitzicht over de rivier. 24/7 electra en warm water. Sundowner cruise is leuk om te doen. Veel dieren op de oevers van de rivier, hippo's en krokodillen in de rivier. Aangezien je hier buiten het park zit heb je gamedrives die 6 uur of langer duren. Je moet eerst met boot, auto en dan met boot terug. Vissen op tigerfish is ook leuk om een ochtend of middag te doen. Personeel heel vriendelijk, je hoeft maar te vragen en ze vliegen voor je. Wel formeel en wat stijfjes. Eten was prima in orde. Zoals in heel Zambia enorme porties die je 3 x per dag weg kan stouwen. Mocht je zelf rijden richting Kiambi volg dan niet Google maps. Volg de T2 tot aan Chirundu en neem daar de 259. Als je google maps volgt kom je over een enorm slechte weg.
