The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to major attractions."

Interesting option with drawbacks
I think it's important to know this is someone's house with a few hotel rooms upstairs. There are some less-than-ideal aspects. The place is very echoey, so if the owners are entertaining downstairs you will hear it in your room. The lighting is very harsh, bright white, which is a big no for me personally. And the bathroom/shower has frosted glass walls that lead on to the hallway. No one can really see you but it doesn't feel that comfortable. Just some strange design choices. The owner couple is incredibly sweet though and they have two very nice dogs too. So if you like a semi-homestay kind of feeling and aren't too picky about lighting and room design, it can be a comfortable and even unique stay.

Sam e sua equipe são sensacionais
Definitivamente um achado em Joanesburgo! Sam e sua equipe são simplesmente adoráveis. Chegamos muito cedo de um voo mega cansativo e conseguimos um early check in e foi ótimo. A casa é super confortável e bem próxima de Rosebank. Café da manhã bem servido. Com certeza recomendamos muito o espaço! Ps: os doguinhos são super fofos 😍

The owner advised checkin cut off time 30 minutes before the actual cut off time. Denied us access we had to sleep in the streets in the car

The house is clean, beautiful and centrally located, near shops, restaurants and art galleries. The hosts are very nice and approachable, they had great recommendations in the area. The rooms are spacious and quiet.

The accommodation is one of the best places where I was. Sam and Sally are wonderful hosts and they make everything, that you feel familiar. The rooms and the house are lovingly furnished. The breakfast is with the freshest fruits and incredibly delicious. I think, it’s the best place in Johannesburg to make from strangers friends.

I stayed at the guesthouse for 2 nights and it was comfortable, with good amenities. Key was no power disruption and a well-stocked minibar. We were given good directions to get there and warned about the similarity between their suburb name and others in the area, so as to not go to the wrong address.

Houghton place est l'endroit idéal où séjourner pour quelques jours à Jobug. Maison spacieuse joliment décorée où 'on s'y sent bien. A proximité du centre commercial de Rosebank avec commerces et restaurants. Hôtes accueillants, de bon conseil, personnel souriant et efficace.
