The Bird & Butterfly Inn

Für die letzten Tage unseres Roadtrip durch Texas haben wir noch etwas zum Entspannen gesucht. Mitten in den Pinienwäldern Texas an einem Fluss gelegen haben wir dieses Juwel von Bed & Breakfast gefunden. Es war ein absoluter Traum dort drei Tage verbringen zu dürfen. Die Einrichtung war nicht nur zum Wohlfühlen sondern mit so viel Liebe ausgewählt, dass wir immer etwas zu gucken hatten. Beeindruckend war, dass das Haus, wie von den Vorbesitzern vorgestellt, erhalten wurde und somit die Vision von Paul und Anne weiterlebt. Der Aussenbereich hatte so viele Sitzmöglichkeiten und bot immer wieder einen neuen Blickwinkel auf den Wald, das Haus oder den Fluss. Und Mikelyn & Chuck haben unseren Aufenthalt noch besser gemacht. Wir wurden super herzlich und familiär begrüßt, erhielten tolle Tipps für die Umgebung sowie gute Restaurants und wurden morgens mit einem grandiosen Frühstück (!) versorgt. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht wird hier fündig. Vielen Dank Mikelyn und Chuck. Der Aufenthalt im The Bird and Butterfly Inn wird uns für immer in Erinnerung bleiben. Alles Liebe. Lisa & Tim

Amazing stay all around. We had a team that needed lodging in East Texas and we stayed here. We each had our own room and privacy. It couldn't have been better. And when our business was done for the day, we came back to our escape in the piney woods. It was amazing.

This is a beautiful and peaceful retreat on the Angelina River and just a few miles from Sam Rayburn reservoir. The grounds are amazing. They have a beautifully landscaped and soothing water feature, an outdoor kitchen and large fire pit. The extensive decking is perfect for a wedding or any event. The deck lighting at night is magical. We stayed in the 1901 cabin. It had all the comforts of home on the inside and spectacular view of the river on the outside. It had a full kitchen, all you need to bring is food. If cooking isn’t your thing, there’s a number of restaurants nearby in Jasper. Breakfast is a gourmet meal. You must try the creme brûlée French toast. Mikelyn and Chuck were gracious and attentive hosts. We’ll definitely will definitely be back!

A place set apart. This inn is beautiful, every room well appointed and creatively decorated. The outdoor area spacious and overlooking a peaceful, almost hypnotic river - perfect for weddings, family reunions, organizational retreats. The owners were most welcoming - be prepared for an invitation to friendship!
