INNSiDE by Meliá Fuerteventura - Adults only

This is my perfect vacation resort. There‘s nothing I‘m missing. Super friendly staff, best location on the island, clean rooms and facilities. And the kitchen… you really have to find what could possibly be missing. Breakfast has it all, literally. The cook himself, a very nice character, is there always fulfilling even wildest things not needed. Dinner - changing every evening, great fish and sea food - also, the cooks giving it all, always. And the staff all over - just real nice people being here for their guests with their hearts wide open. I‘m in love with this place since its beginning.

This review reflects our experience as 2 British women who enjoyed 5 nights at the Innside Melia Fuerteventura. I'd award 3.5 stars if I could as 3 seemed a little mean given the many positive aspects of this hotel. Firstly, the overall style, cleanliness and ambience of this hotel are outstanding along with the beautiful beach location. Our room (recommend an ocean view garden suite) was beautiful with 2 generous comfy beds, a freestanding bath and a 2 person shower! The photos don't do this place justice at all! There are so many spaces where you can relax and despite the hotel being quite big, it was never busy and maintained an intimate feel. The hotel does sit in quite a remote location, aside from beach walks, we only made it to one nearby cafe which was a good 30 minute walk over sand dunes. That said, if all you want is a relaxing break, there is little need to go elsewhere. The transfer from the airport was rather arduous though! The aspects that made this hotel less than ideal for us were: 1. Limited yoga and Pilates availability. The hotel website makes much of the ocean view yoga/pilates on offer and was a big part of the reason we chose this hotel. I contacted the hotel in advance to inquire about booking and was told this could be done at time of check in. Upon arrival, we found that yoga and Pilates were only available on certain days for a limited number of 10, which meant we only were able to attend two classes across the duration of our stay. Please also note that this is not a spa hotel as many of the booking websites suggest. There are no spa facilities on site and little available in the surrounding area. 2. Aside from a small number of the staff we encountered, most were cold and abrupt (sometimes bordering on rude). On one occasion we waited at the snack bar for 10 minutes being completely ignored before somebody served us. We found the other guests to be equally serious, barely cracking a smile or responding to a morning greeting. At times, it really made us feel quite unwelcome! 3. Despite all of the rave reviews about the quality of the food, we found it quite underwhelming and by the end of our stay were completely bored! Breakfast has a varied choice and everything is well presented but dinner felt very repetitive with a selection of bland vegetables and potatoes accompanied by gristly or fatty meat/fish generally coated in vegetable oil. Aside from that, there was always a selection of fruit/ salad/ cheese and meats available as well as a good selection of desserts and ice cream. The lunch options at the pool bar were tasty so we took to enjoying a larger lunch and skipping the dinner included in our room rate. Food and drink prices were reasonable at the hotel, although it would have been preferable to have bigger bottles of water available. You were not even able to purchase these from the restaurant (only small bottles) so instead we had to wait for room service to replenish our fridge each day. 4. The a

We went to INNSIDE by Melia with the whole family and had an amazing stay. The views are stunning and the pool area is nicely located and shielding from the wind. We especially liked the food, the fresh fruits and omelette station in the morning and evening menu with many different options ever night were excellent. The stay would not have been the same without the waiter Pedro, who made sure that I would get bread and cakes gluten-free - I didn’t even have to ask. He was so kind and helpful, and would already spot us from afar and get everything ready for us proactively. We felt very special and well taken care of throughout the stay - thank you! The rooms were also very nice, highly recommend to take sea view. The Yoga lessons in the morning and live music in the evenings were great entertainment. Thank you for a great stay!

We didn’t get water every day. Our room wasn’t cleaned every day. There was no place to get water from (apart from meal times). We were disappointed. The surrounding is beautiful (nature). We have been there second time. Unfortunately that was the last time.

Sister hotel which sits right beside Innside thinks it’s ok to blare out loud music all hours of day and night. Not quite the tranquil luxury break we thought we had booked and paid a lot of money for. Complained to management and they just said they were sorry but nothing they could do. They should make people aware that the Paradisus is no longer a Meliá hotel and as such Innside guest do not benefit from their facilities such as restaurants but suffer from their loud parties.

We have been lucky enough to return twice a year since "Innside " opened and love it and for good reason - management and ALL staff are an effective team and deliver on all fronts -- personal preferences are accommodated for when able and its super chilled with a relaxed vibe through out -- love it -- see you in March - Robert & Alison
