Appena arrivato rimango sbalordito dalla bellezza del mare antistante...se un pittore volesse dipingerlo dovrebbe far uso di tutte le sfumature di azzurro della sua tavolozza....il Blue reef è un posto unico, e te ne rendi conto fin dal cocktail di benvenuto. Ambiente pulito, genuino, camere spaziose ed eleganti. Cucina decisamente gustosa. Io arrivavo reduce da un incidente che mi ha costretto a zoppicare per tutto il soggiorno. Lo staff, gentilissimo, addirittura mi portava la colazione in veranda. Fin da subito ci siamo sentiti in sintonia. Ben presto io e la mia famiglia abbiamo apprezzato le gentilezze di Emanuele, sempre attento alle necessità degli ospiti, il cappuccino super di Paolo e le chiacchiere scambiate con lo staff del bar prima di " rincasare", le battute e le risate insieme a Paolo che cerca moglie italiana (ma che sappia cucinare!!!). Fantastici i cuochi, le signore delle pulizie sempre gentili e sorridenti che si fermano volentieri a scambiare due parole.... Un grazie particolare a Nick, il proprietario che si è prodigato in ogni modo quando ho avuto necessità di raggiungere l ospedale ed in seguito per prolungare il mio soggiorno presso il Blue Reef. Un accoglienza inaspettata non solo per la qualità indiscussa del servizio ma anche e soprattutto per il calore umano e la empatia. Un vero angolo di paradiso.....dal quale parti a malincuore ma con la certezza di volerci tornare!!!!Alla prossima!

Abbiamo alloggiato qualche giorno durante il nostro lungo soggiorno a Zanzibar al Blue reef lodge, avevamo una camera con veranda fronte mare parziale , da poco rinnovata completamente, molto carina e confortevole di medie dimensioni con doccia e acqua calda , letto con zanzariera e cassetta di sicurezza, pulizia molto buona , lenzuola e asciugamani cambiati regolarmente, materasso comodo con il topper! La colazione era compresa nella tariffa della camera era alla carta e potevi scegliere tra più opzioni , noi abbiamo ordinato sempre frutta , pancake, yogurt, granola, succo , latte e caffe, semplice ma sufficiente ma c’erano anche uova, salsicce e pane in cassetta per una colazione salata . Il Ristorante interno al Lodge per noi è uno dei migliori di jambiani , menù alla carta più i piatti del giorno sulla lavagna,abbiamo ordinato diversi piatti , Tonno alla griglia, Cicale , Tartare di tonno , Trio di Tonno , Gamberi in agrodolce( fantastici), involtini primavera spettacolari , buonissimi anche i Samosa , provato anche il Poke di gamberi, pesce intero,piatti ben presentati ,porzioni abbondanti , prezzi onesti da poco in $ , cucina a vista con kassim l’ottimo Chef sempre presente e il suo team . Il tratto di mare dove si trovano il Blu reef lodge ma anche il Blu reef bungalow ( a breve distanza) è il più spettacolare di jambiani! Con mare turchese e sabbia bianchissima. Personale cortese e simpatico ma mi è mancata wilimina che conosciamo da anni trasferita al Blu reef bungalow peccato !!!!. Il Lodge è piccolo a due passi dal mare e al centro del villaggio di jambiani , è presente un Bar ben fornito , una scuola kite, una piccola palestra con i pesi , lettini e ombrelloni , offrono anche i trasferimenti ed escursioni in tutta l’ Isola. La nostra esperienza è stata come sempre super positiva , ringraziamo di cuore Per l’accoglienza i “padroni di casa “Niki , Thomas e Nathan . Da una stradina piena di buche arrivi in un piccolo angolo di paradiso.. appena arrivi al cancello del Blue reef sei accecato dai colori che vedi in fondo! Striature di turchese, blu,azzurro .. incredibili che cambiano di ora in ora a seconda della marea.. Questo è ciò che circonda il blue reef.. Entrando ti senti subito a casa... Il personale e i proprietari fanno di tutto per far sentire accolto chi soggiorna.. La nostra sistemazione era una grandissima camera doppia con bagno, per un totale di 5 posti letto. (Noi siamo una famiglia di 4 persone). Le colazioni servite nel ristorante proprio sopra il bar della struttura (con vista mare) sono abbondanti e decisamente molto buone, prezzi nella media locale! Abbiamo anche pranzato e cenato al blue reef molte volte e siamo sempre rimasti molto soddisfatti! Che dire lo consiglio e sicuramente ci torneremo!!!

We spent 2 weeks at the Blue Reef in August and loved it. It’s right on the beach with the most amazing views. The rooms were clean, comfy and although no air con, a fan was all we needed with a mosquito net. The staff couldn’t do enough to make sure we were all good. The owners were there most days, all were friendly and helpful. All the staff were so welcoming. Anton makes the best cocktails and Emmanuel and Paulo and the other staff were all fab. The breakfasts were included with the room and were lovely. The restaurant for lunch and dinner also had some really delicious dishes. The Blue Reef support a local beach rubbish recycling initiative. They have recycled items for sale and we loved the bottle top curtains in the rooms. They have lots of trips you can book into, we went snorkelling, went fishing and they organise taxis wherever you want to go and for airport runs. Zanzibar is incredibly beautiful. Jambiani is a long beautiful beach, much quieter than Paje which is what we wanted but there are still lots of other restaurants along the beach, some with pools which you can use as long as buying food/drinks. The village runs behind the hotels and locals were so friendly and welcoming. Lots of Masai selling beautiful bowls, bracelets etc Whilst in Zanzibar we went snorkelling, swam with turtles, visited Stown town, Kuza cave which is really close and flew over to the mainland for a 2 day safari. We had the best holiday and absolutely loved the Blue Reef. We were a family of 5 with 3 young adults, we’d all totally recommend..,.Thanks!

I have not been back to Zanzibar for 20 years, this is my 4th visit. I wanted to bring my children. Zanzibar has changed alot, big hotels and alot of development, not well controlled. This is an exellent establishment. The beach cottages are pretty with fans and an ocean view. Wonderful sunbeds infront of the ocean. We ate at the restaurant twice, i had really fresh lobster, chicken tacos and a very good cheesecake. The rooms are cleaned evryday to a very high standard which is a relief after the sandy beach days. We had our washing done and it was not a rip off like other places we stayed. The snorkelling in their own Dhow was really good and a third of the price of other places. Their captain spoke english and explained sailing techniques along the way. They have a wood pizza oven and their pizzas are really good, the best I have eaten in ages. The staff are professional and kind, their cocktails at the sand bar are superb with fresh juices. We had healthy breakfast option with really good homemade granola and local honey. The reason I am leaving such a detailed review is that I own a hotel and camp in Marrakech and I can see how well run this place is. They care about the beach and their room information educates you on how they give back and their recycling beach trash initiatives. This is one of a few authentic Zanzibarian accommodations left. Jambiani beach has other little places and I would recommend staying here if you want fresh fish, good vibes and a wonderful authentic experience. I was nearly detered by the bad reviews left, I can only imagine they have been left by jelous competition which is often the sad reality.

Nathan m’a organisé une sortie de pêche sur mesure Au Top , très bonne accueil à tout les niveaux N’ayant pas logé dans l’établissement je peux juste dire qu’il est très bien situé, les pieds dans l’eau Je recommande aux amateurs de pêche de contacter Nathan Bon vent pour la suite et sans doute à bientôt Alain

Heerlijk genoten. Rustig gelegen, niet in een massatoerisme gebied. Zeer vriendelijk personeel! Niets is teveel! Ontbijt is beperkt maar wel altijd vers en super lekker! Loft is een prachtige kamer met 2 grote slaapkamers en een grote badkamer. Geen airco, maar door de fans goed te doen. Terras met zicht op de prachtig blauwe oceaan.

Tenu par Thomas et Nathan, ce Lodge est digne de l'accueil réputé du pays d'origine de ces 2 frères : les Pays Bas. A l'écart de la station touristique de Pajé, le village de Jambiani garde son authenticité et résiste aux sirènes des investisseurs et leurs Resorts. Récemment rénové, le Lodge Blue Reef est accueillant et bien équipé avec sa "salle de gym" en plein air, son bar en bord de plage et son restaurant à l'étage qui domine le sable blanc et les pirogues des pêcheurs. Etant hébergés à quelques mètres, nous n'avons pas testé l'hôtel mais n'en entendons que du bien. Nous connaissons mieux le restaurant qui est de bon niveau : Des produits de la mer frais (selon le retour de pêche de Nathan et Thomas) et en cuisine une équipe efficace, à des prix corrects. Bref à chaque séjour, c'est devenu notre cantine du soir après le coucher du soleil. Un 2e restaurant plus petit avec pizzeria à une centaine de mètres est également à votre disposition. En bref : n'hésitez pas !
