The Oberoi Rajvilas Jaipur

It is hard to write about the Oberoi Rajvilas without using superlatives. Best grounds. Best rooms. Best staff. Best restaurants. On and on go the superlatives. The truth is that this property is just the best. The Oberoi chain of hotels is the most guest-centric hotel group in existence. There is always some standing out of sight waiting, and I mean waiting patiently, for someone to begin to look around for help. Your head doesn't even get to complete the motion of looking for your waiter or another staff person, and they are by your side, asking if they can be of service. At times, it is almost spooky. The grounds at this Oberoi are lavish. They are perfectly manicured, but I have not yet seen anyone working on the gardens (do they do it overnight??) The rooms are immaculate. We suggest splurging for a pool room. The blue tile plunge pool heats up very nicely on a sunny day, making for a hot tub-like splash in the pool.

It's not difficult to see why this is rated one of the best hotels in the world. We recently visited Jaipur and were impressed with quality of service, amazing grounds in a city hotel, high quality dining options and facilities. On arrival we were given an upgrade to a garden view room, with private garden including comfortable garden furniture. This gave a perfect opportunity for quiet relaxation after the hustle and bustle of the city. The food, service and evening entertainment in the main restaurant was excellent.

Lovely property with a layout that allows for a great deal of privacy. Peacocks stroll throughout. Our luxury tent was a fabulous room with a comfortable bed and furnishings, great bathroom space and amenities and 2 private patios. Awesome service focused ln our comfort. The spa treatment rooms are luxurious and the therapists highly skilled. Restaurant food and service were superb.

The Oberoi Rajvilas Jaipur. An extraordinary hotel for a business or leisure stay in Jaipur. Exceptional professionalism and positive attitude from all the staff. Shariya was there at the beginning, middle and end of our trip. She welcomed us daily, her smile a joyful enhancement to our wonderful experience in Jaipur. Our housekeepers Aditya and Aryan made sure that our room was impeccable and that all our requests were satisfied, promptly. We stayed in the Premier room which offered a four-poster bed, sunken bath, private courtyard, office desk and a comfortable window seat where I read each morning. As we were travelling for a few weeks we found the wardrobes a little small for our requirements. The cuisine at both restaurants was exceptional with a professional and courteous service to match. All the staff were wonderful, with special thanks to Sandip, Prince, Darham, Neeraj and Susant, who all went that extra mile. My apologies to those we forgot to mention. Our appreciation must also go to the General Manager, Vishal Virmani, to whom we owe a debt of gratitude for his exceptional management of such a flagship hotel. We thank Vishal for his personal touch and hope one day to return to his Oberoi Rajvilas and beautiful pink city, Jaipur. On a final note, we were overwhelmed with the company of our chauffeur Kalyan. A beautiful person, with comprehensive knowledge and compassion for his city. We had an incredible two and a half days with him and were genuinely blessed with his company. Whilst in Jaipur we would recommend the following, Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, Nahargarh Fort, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Jaigarh Fort, The Albert Hall Museum and Jantar Mantar.
