This is one of the best options to stay in Jaffna. It’s not in the city centre, more on the outskirts of the city , there’s nothing around, so you basically plan your time in the resort. The hotel itself is nice , the rooms look a bit old but clean , there was no hot water in our room. The territory of the hotel is beautiful with the pool , restaurant, little museums to visit (ex bunkers). The food in the restaurant is yummy , the staff is friendly and polite, especially Scotty , he was very helpful and nice to us during our stay. Good experience at this hotel, just the water situation in the rooms should be improved.

We recently visited Fox Jaffna with our family and were truly impressed by every aspect of our stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The entire property was immaculate, with a serene setting that beautifully blends modern comfort with deep historical significance. As someone from the U.S. traveling with my Sri Lankan husband—who had never been to Jaffna before—this was a meaningful and eye-opening experience. The hotel is filled with relics from the war and an impressive collection of artwork by renowned Sri Lankan painters, offering a powerful and moving glimpse into the region’s past and cultural richness. The on-site restaurant served authentic local cuisine with generous portions that left us more than satisfied. Every meal felt like a celebration of Jaffna’s culinary heritage. The staff were warm, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area, offering thoughtful recommendations and insights that enhanced our visit. Fox Jaffna is more than just a hotel—it’s a cultural experience wrapped in comfort and care. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore the north of Sri Lanka with both heart and history in mind.

The Staff and Manager especially the two Shanes were superb! The good was good and the garden ambience heavenly. The Hotel has a story and a history!.

One of the best places to stay in Jaffna. Superb food and we had great service from Amith and Agilan as well as Chef Pushpe. Beautiful landscaped garden and a great art gallery.

We stayed at Fox Resort for three days and had a wonderful experience. The staff provided exceptional hospitality—everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. If you're visiting Jaffna, this is undoubtedly one of the best places to stay. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Fox Resort in Jaffna as a solo traveler and had a truly wonderful experience. I felt completely safe and very well looked after throughout my stay. The staff were excellent -warm, attentive, and always willing to help. My room was spotless and extremely comfortable. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, set in lovely surroundings that offer a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It's also well located, making it easy to explore the area. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaffna, whether you're traveling alone or with others.

This is a lovely hotel. Very clean with cosy comfortable rooms. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Especially Scoty who works in the hotel restaurant. His friendliness and helpfulness made our evening. And the food is delicious.

I stayed here for three nights as part of a group of 32 tourists from India. The stay was superb. Everyone is polite and eager to help. The rooms are large and well appointed. Food was excellent, and the chef went out of his way to cater to the vegetarians in the group. In particular, I would like to mention Mr. Pradikshan in the Restaurant - he was really nice and always took care of our needs with a smile. I highly recommend Fox Resorts.

We spent 3 nights with our family here on our visit to Jaffna. The place is just more than perfect! Clean rooms, very beautiful traditional design, good food and services. The staff is so kind and reactive, special mention to Lakshika. We will come back for sure!

Had a well deserved rest and break after a arduous 8 hour drive from Colombo. Great location,interesting artwork and good food with a decent spread for breakfast. Be sure to try out the authentic Jaffna style mutton Paal Poriyal with mild spice for the faint of heart.

This is by far the best hotel in Jaffna. We stayed for 3 nights, with breakfast each morning and dinner on two of the evenings. The food was incredible and the wine options were the best we’ve seen so far in Sri Lanka. The staff are extremely welcoming and ready to help you with anything, suggesting places to see in the city, organising massages in our room and a same day turn around on laundry. The hotel itself is beautiful with palm trees around a lovely pool, and outside seating area for a drink. During our time in Jaffna we visited a few other hotels for a drink during the day and whilst worth visiting, none competed with Fox. Thank you to the team for making our stay so memorable.

The hospitality was the best we have ever encountered, my sister was unwell while we were here and they were able to help with our every request from meals to herbal remedies. Although our trip didn’t go as expected due to my sister’s illness we couldn’t have picked a better place for her to be looked after so well, We are so grateful to the incredible staff!

Jaffna number 1 hotel. Depends what you are looking for. High class environment with well trained staff. Good food options Well equipped rooms Pool looked ok but we did not use it. Approx 20 mins from the railway station. A very good hotel that is all about the guest.
