We wanted to relax and enjoy ‘Pura Vida’ with our teens! All of the staff at the hotel were amazing - special mention to Don Jose! Who was very attentive and informative. Amazing place, amazing food, people , location … couldn’t ask for anything else! Thank you to staff and management.

Excelent resort Our family of 8 absolutly love this place. Very clean and confortable. Very well located from jaco downtown and other local attraction. Excellent food and warm staff. From san jose is a ride of 1 hour 30 min and manuel antonio is located around 50 min from the resort.

They are very friendly, they treated us very well. This is truly the BEST resort I have ever stayed! The staff was wonderful and Tom the manager was most helpful with all our needs. The staff ordered our taxi service each day and made all our reservations for excursions he had planned.. We stayed in the penthouse suite and it was immaculate… I would recommend this resort to anyone vacationing in Costa Rica…5 stars.

We have just returned from 10 nights in Costa Rica. We started our Costa Rican adventure at the Club Del Mar in Jaco. We only stayed for two nights on route to Manuel Antonio with the sole intention to break up the journey after a long flight. All the children wanted to do surf lessons and we thought this would be the ideal place for them to learn. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo for 6 of us. Two adults, and then children aged 11, 12, 13 and 14. We arrived late in the day after a long flight and were shown to our room. We decided to put two of the children in the master bedroom and take the sofa bed for ourselves so that they all got a good night sleep. This worked well but we were very envious of the Master suite. The sofa bed is probably better suited for children but was ok for two nights. The children had two lots of 2 hour surf lessons booked for our day there. The first at 6am and the second at 4pm. The 6am session was perfect. The beach was pretty much empty and they all managed to get up on the boards pretty quickly. The second session was busier. I think this was mainly due to it being Easter weekend. They were keen to get back out on the water but with some trepidation at the crowds. The surf instructors were brilliant though, handled the crowds brilliantly and they had a fantastic second session catching the waves at sunset. Between lessons we chilled by the pool and encountered our first Costa Rican food experience. The food at this hotel is out of this world and the best we had during our stay in Costa Rica. Everything we ate made our tastebuds sing! It was all so fresh and flavoursome.

Club del Mar proved to be a great choice for our stop over in Jaco, breaking the journey from La Fortuna to Uvita. The hotel is at the far end of the beach, away from the many bars & nightclubs of central Jaco. Our room in the main block was a little tired but very clean & comfortable (there was occasional road noise but nothing too disturbing). The pool area and beach access were wonderful, the beach bar provided a great spot to watch the unbelievable sunset from and the free use of boogie boards was a nice additional touch. The on-site restaurant offers an extensive and interesting menu with all of the food being of very high quality . The staff were all very good but William deserves a special mention for providing exceptional service throughout our stay.

WE HAD THE MOST ENJOYABLE VACATION EXPERIENCE EVER. THE STAFF FEELS LIKE FAMILY FROM THE MOMENT YOU CHECK IN. THE WHOLE PROPERTY IS SO CLEAN AND WELL KEPT. IT WAS OUR SECOND TIME THERE. THE RESTAURANT IS AS GOOD AS ANYTHING WE WENT TO IN COSTA RICA. TOM (OWNER) HAS A WONDERFUL GROUP OF EMPLOYEES. THAT END OF THE JACO BEACH IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND QUIET. THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE TRAFFIC NOISE. WE ARE ALL BOOKED FOR NEXT YEAR. LOVE IT!

Excellent rooms and very friendly staff. All staff we met were bilingual and knowledgeable and could not be more accommodating They recommended very good restaurants along with their own that provided great food! Sunsets were Amazing and the drinks and food were reasonable. I would highly recommend his botique hotel for couples and families.

we stayed here prior to a Star Clipper cruise and had booked elsewhere for a few days when the cruise finished. The Club Del Mar was so good that we cancelled our booking in another hotel further up the coast and returned here for a 4 night stay and are so pleased to be back. The staff are attentive and very pleasant, professional and concerned that you are perfectly served! The hotel is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and spacious rooms all looking out towards the Pacific Ocean. The food served in the restaurant is very good and the portions are enormous...but didn't stop me trying to eat the divine coconut cake as a dessert!!!! walk to the end of the garden and you are on a fabulous beach where you can walk for miles..and we did. Sunsets are amazing here, especially viewed from the poolside cocktail bar. This is the place to stay in Jaco!!!!!
