Marea Brava Villas

We checked this place out before we booked here and it seemed quiet and has very beautiful views. It turned out that a few of the things were broken, like a fan in the bedroom which is very important when staying at the beach. The pool was overrun with kids playing and splashing and the parties and fights went on late into the night. The office says they have security but they apparently don't do anything to control the drinking, loud music and fighting. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because it is right on the beach and has a great view.

I would strongly urge anyone considering a stay here to run away and go somewhere else. We booked two rooms with another couple and arrived with the hotel apparently full. Instead of the rooms we booked they "upgraded" us to condos. The only upgrade was size of the rooms everything else was terrible and we ended up changing to the different rooms. The first room was full of spiders. I killed 10 spiders soon after arriving and decided they're was no way I would be able to stay there. They didn't have any other rooms so we ended up staying in the condo with the other couple the first night. The next day we had to leave what we were doing to go back to the hotel and tour all the rooms they had available for us to change to. Every room was not well maintained and had stuff broken or missing (fridge not there or shower broken). We finally settled on a room that had beds that we could sleep on. We left while they cleaned the room and came back to the room only to find the shower had no hot water and it smelled like something had died in the room days ago (when we were touring the room they had covered up the smell with some type of air freshener). We then had to switch again to another room for the next two nights. The room we changed to had two tiny rooms with double beds so for our romantic Costa Rica vacation my wife and I had to sleep in separate bedrooms (and the first night with another couple). There is a sign in the lobby that says 2017 Trip Advisor Hotel of Excellence Award. After our experience I truly cannot trust Trip Advisor! They list a hot tub but you have to schedule a time for them to actually heat the thing up (takes 7 hours). If you decide to stay here understand that things are in disrepair but the staff is actually very nice. The grounds we fairly well maintained and pretty nice.

Reservamos una habitacion frente a la piscina, un grupo de huespedes secuestro la piscina y alrededores, armaron una fiesta hasta altas horas de la noche con musica a todo volumen, gritos, cerveza en la piscina, etc. Llamamos a recepcion, nadie nos atendio, no pudimos dormir
