Clarion Hotel Jackson Northwest

The hotel was very nice and affordable. Sam at the front desk was very helpful and polite. I would recommend staying here for travel. Also very affordable weekly rated suites. They have a pool that was always open and laundry on site for convenience. Also close to restaurants and shopping.

We decided to stay here in spite of the poor reviews because we were in a bind. We had a choice between two 2-star hotels and chose this one. The facilities seems to be still going under renovation as seen in our room where some things were new like the lampshades, but some things were in poor shape like the bathtub. The fiberglass tub/shower looked like it had been painted. And it was beginning to peel in several places. It was not a pleasant experience taking a shower in there. sheets and towels were clean. The towels were very thin and flimsy and you could easily use 2 to 3 to dry off after your shower. The desk clerk was friendly enough, but seemed to be more interested in phone calls coming in and people walking through the lobby. Check in seemed to take a long time. I saw references to the hundred dollar deposit in the reviews and sure enough he charged that to my credit card. I’m not sure why though unless they experience a lot of damage from other clients. Definitely don’t stay here unless you’re in a real bind and want to go on the cheap side.

Needs major updating and needs new carpets in room . Could be nice hotel . No ac in lobby as very hot when checked in but room does have ac . Big room but very warned out furniture . Also pillows are weird and small . Not in the best area but lighted parking lot

This hotel was nasty I was feeling sick a couple later and I tested positive for Covid from this hotel this hotel should be shut down and reading all the reviews I am surprised it is not I never seen 1 good review and it looks like tge hotel is not doing anything to clean it up

A property with potential can only be described as tired and shabby. Virtually no amenities. It was relatively clean, although not exceptionally so. I wouldn’t stay again. Price was the only inducement, and it was certainly not a value.

This place could definitely use some paint, employees, and life. Pool area & breakfast was closed because of short staff. Overall nice stay nothing that stood out. It's surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shopping areas. It's across the highway from a more developed area which is on the rise.

Upon checking out early the night time employee told me that they would need to check the room before I could check out. This is probably the most unprofessional encounter I’ve ever had with a hotel. This hotel is disgusting and unacceptable and I would rate it -5 stars to save people from your unsanitary conditions.

14 days on the road and this is the worst hotel out of 8. The a/c wasn't on when we arrived and there is a musty smell. The security latch on the door is broken. The TV has a very poor picture - shadows. Breakfast is not being served - said they have a water leak? It appears to be a former office building being remodeled into a hotel .. it needs a LOT of work. It also appears to have long term semi-permanent residents. Pool has scum floating on it ... I decided not to take a dunk. Shower has mold on ceiling. Tub looks like it was painted and it's peeling off.

We had stayed at this property a few years ago with no incident so we decided to stay again. Wrong decision. Stay literally anywhere else but this hotel. We booked a reservation using Choice Reward points (and a credit card on file). We arrived at the hotel at 11:00 pm with a 6 year and 14 year old in tow. I picked up on a strong ********* odor while walking through the door — Red Flag #1. During check-in, we were asked to pay a $100 deposit — Red Flag #2. I understand requesting a deposit if you are paying with cash or if the hotel is in a particularly rough area, neither of this scenarios applied in this case. The clerk stated he was “following policy” and pointed to a sheet of paper laying on the counter. It’s worth noting that the hotel’s reservation page within Choice made ZERO mention of this “policy”. I told the clerk we just drove all the way across Arkansas to which he replied “not my problem”. I did not personally hear this but my son was standing closer to the clerk and relayed it to me afterward — Red Flag #3. I told the clerk we would stay elsewhere and in the morning I would register a complaint with Choice Corporate due to their “policy” that wasn’t posted anywhere except on a piece of paper — this does not make the policy official in the eyes of Choice Hotels. I did report this incident to Choice as promised and received a full refund of the Rewards Points that the clerk wouldn’t give us back when we left. We walked out and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn across the interstate and ended our night on a much more pleasant note.
