The entire staff is extremely friendly and they did their very best to meet all our expectations (although their English was quite limited). Our room was well maintained and very quiet, with a nice garden. They have an excellent restaurant and served 3 very different, high quality, traditional meals during our stay. Breakfast and lunch were also included in the package, as well as the laundry, which was amazing. They also have a large and beautiful private onsen which we could book twice at the last minute without any problem. An unforgettable experience in the midst of the beautiful Izu peninsula. You did yo book well in advance though, as they are in high demand!"

"The hot springs were very nice, and the food was delicious. The facilities are old, but I suppose that can't be helped; they'll have to be completely renovated or rebuilt. The musty smell everywhere was a real problem. However, what's really disappointing is the lack of consideration for the guests. Two typhoons were predicted, so the day before my stay I called and asked if I could change my dates. Not a cancellation, but a change. They told me that they couldn't do it now because they had already started preparations. I was disappointed, but I went out in the heavy rain. That night the rain got heavier, and the next day I received an email from the inn in Izu Kogen that I had booked, saying, "Please don't push yourself, and we won't charge you a cancellation fee this time because of the circumstances." I think that was a sincere response that considered the guest's perspective. The next morning, when I checked out and told them about the response from the inn in Izu Kogen, they said that other guests didn't cancel, but I don't think that's a valid reason. I wasn't keen on going. Also, the innkeeper said that this amount of rain would be fine, but I'm not a local, so I don't know that. I drove there, and I was worried because I had read on the news that there was a possibility of road closures. I was given a 5000 yen refund, but I don't think that was the right thing to do. I booked through Jalan, but for some reason it was treated as a cancellation after check-out. I would like the feelings of the customers to be respected."

"One day in the planned itinerary was Izu, and I was in a bit of a hurry, but I didn't expect that I also left interesting memories at the hotel. This is Izu. If you are not driving by yourself, you should plan your travel route in advance. After all, the carriages and horses in the countryside are very slow. If you miss a bus, you may not see it in an hour. Google Maps directed me to the Tiancheng Road Hotel from a small road. This place is on the roadside and seems to be stubbornly trying to occupy its own corner. The landlady came out to receive the hotel warmly and friendly, and told me the precautions for using the room and related facilities. A traditional Japanese-style room with tatami mats, small tables, and neatly decorated furnishings. Open the partition and step into the small balcony. Outside the window, you can see the gurgling water, as well as the silently fluttering clouds and silent green mountains that provide a backdrop. Most of the shops here got off work early. I took the wrong road and got on the wrong bus. After buying food from the convenience store, it was already dark. I finally breathed a sigh of relief when I came back. I went downstairs to take a shower and met the landlady. She raised her head from the stairs and said, hahaha. Breakfast was scheduled for 7 o'clock, and the landlady got ready on time. She chose the seat facing the window with the best view, turned on the ventilation fan, and cooked all the meals herself. The variety was rich and tasted great, and the pickles were very special. Before leaving, the landlady apologized and said that the inconvenience of language communication may have brought about some bad experiences, but I felt that it was not at all, and it was actually very interesting. I used the little Japanese I knew to communicate with her little English, and it was successfully completed. Lots of dialogue. Come again next time if you have a chance~"
