"Really enjoyed my stay at Kameya Rakan! From the beginning, staff at check-in were very pleasant. The staff that attended to us also spoke really good English! There was also a microwave, some brochures/maps with discount codes for attractions (e.g. Mt Omuro chairlift). Parking was plenty and free, located behind the accommodation. There is a sign that says Kameya Rakan Parking. Room was tatami style, and we chose the seaview room which was really nice. They were also very kind to prepare iced water for us in the room which I have never encountered before. Would definitely come back to stay again!"

"The room was spacious and the hot springs were great. They even offered free ramen as a late-night snack, which was a lifesaver since I couldn't find any open restaurants nearby in the evening. The only downside was the very limited shuttle service. I ended up having to drag my suitcase uphill to the hotel and then back down to the station the next morning, working up a sweat twice. I knew public transportation in Izu Kogen wasn't the best, but it was still a shame the shuttle wasn't more convenient."

"First of all, I like Ctrip’s efficient service. The hotel does not have pick-up and drop-off service from Ito Station. If you have a suitcase, it is recommended to take a taxi for about 50 yuan. There are no scenic spots nearby and no sea view in the residential area. There is only a garden view that is generally neglected. Arrive at 2 o’clock. There was no reception at the door. Check-in started at 2:30. This hotel said check-in was at 3:00 and one person would check in. I was given a room first. I was shocked. I have stayed in ten rooms and never had a view. This one has no view at all, only the entire living room and bedroom. The window was half closed because there was no view. I immediately went downstairs and asked the hotel to change rooms. It was inconsistent with the order. The hotel said that there was no way. I immediately contacted Ctrip. I hope that the Ctrip guy can change it to a room with a large window. The view is still average, but I am very satisfied. The room is large and has an average size. There is also a strange Japanese-style sliding door that cannot be opened, which makes people think of bad service. And the food and beverage included in the restaurant is a bit lower than the average in the world. There are only two bottles of bulk water in the refrigerator for free. Other charges are not as good as the last time I stayed in Hoshino Kai Enshu Ito Kai. It is family-friendly and has a swimming pool with a cypress bubble. The other experience of the pool is very average. There are about a dozen rooms with half-windows and no view at all. It is completely meaningless to stay in such a room. There are very few rooms with a view shown on Ctrip. It is difficult to arrange for Hoshino World in Ito. The hotel is called Anzhen Express Hotel, which is the same but has a sea view. "We only stayed one night, but it was an incredible experience - everything from the caring service to the traditional style of room to the thoughtful osen setup! All five star! The staff spoke limited English but it was very smooth and easy to use translation software. We chose to have breakfast there and it was delightful - so many little dishes and all served in our room and we even dressed up in traditional attire for it, provided by the ryokan. It’s very easy to get a taxi from Izu Kogen and it was easy for us to order an uber in the evening for dinner if you don’t want to go full out for what the ryokan provides - so it’s friendly enough if you aren’t driving. The individual osen pools were so chill - could have sat there for hours! High recommend this place if you want a piece of real Japanese culture!"

"It's about a ten-minute drive from Izu Kogen Station. The hotel is quite large, divided into several areas, ranging from luxury to economy. We booked a Japanese-style suite in the main building with a great view. The hotel has many free facilities that you can check on the map and experience one by one. The hot spring facility next door has an open-air bath. Soaking in the hot springs by the moonlit sea at night was very relaxing, with the constant sound of the waves. The breakfast included sashimi and various snacks, which was quite rich, but the selection was almost identical for two consecutive days. I'm giving three stars for service, specifically for the front desk. This hotel has quite a few Indian staff members. So why only three stars? The 5th, 6th, and 7th floors of the hotel all have scenic ocean view rooms, but Chinese guests are always assigned to the 5th floor or rooms near the elevator. Having stayed at many hotels, I can sense the subtle discrimination and differential treatment here. If the price booked through Ctrip is lower than what Japanese tourists pay, then disregard my comment. Finally, this hotel is very family-friendly, perfect for those with children. If you prefer quiet, a hotel of this size won't be quiet at all; you should choose a smaller onsen ryokan instead."
