Fuat BEY Palace Hotel & Suites

Our stay at Faut Bey Palace Hotel and Suites was, unfortunately, quite disappointing. While there were two positives—the location is excellent, about a 15-minute walk to the Sultan Ahmet Mosque and Aya Sofya, and the staff are very friendly and helpful—that’s where the good news ends. The room we were given was extremely small, old, and poorly maintained. The view from our window was dreadful, with dirty water and random things, like the top of a stand, right outside. The bathroom was even worse—tiny, old, rusty, and clearly neglected. To make matters worse, the toilet flush broke in the middle of the night and woke us up. While the staff member was quick to come and shut off the water, it couldn’t be fixed until the morning. Breakfast was another letdown, with very limited options. Once something ran out, it wasn’t replenished, so if you didn’t wake up early, you were out of luck. Overall, it was a horrible stay. We were counting down the days until checkout. Thankfully, the hotel didn’t spoil our enjoyment of Istanbul, which is a beautiful city. However, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Cozy hotel close to everything. Extremely helpful staff, fast working wi-fi, A/C, airport shuttle (90 EUR both directions), cash only). We got an upgrade room on the top floor … well, if you consider a bath tub within the bedroom (no door!) an upgrade … toilet with a small sink could use some refreshment, which goes for a tub as well (dirt stains). Breakfast is very modest, no warm eggs, no toaster, one kind of cheese, coffee is more like water (yes, in Turkey!). However, the hotel is close to everything. Old town Istanbul is on a walking diatance, for Taxim take a tram No T1 then funicular. Restaurants and shops nearby. The view from our penthouse room was on the Marmar sea. I would reserve it again if they gave me bathroom with door :)

Great place to stay if you want to visit Istanbul. It's close (10-20min walking distance) to all the important places to visit (Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet, Topkapi). Also, it's close to the T1 tram line that will easily take you all the way to Taksim. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly. I will stay here again when i come to Istanbul again! The breakfast is also delicious with many traditional salads.

Парадоскальный отель, в котором общие территории содержатся в лучшем состоянии, чем номера. Отель расположен рядом с мечетью Малая Айя София. Если знать ход, можно через виадук и за 5 минут выйти на набережную Босфора. Рядом - два зеленых парка. А по короткому пути в небольшую горку выходишь сразу к Голубой мечети и Египетскому обелиску (по длинному пути будешь карабкаться на горку вверх зубами и выйдешь в районе квартала Лалели... не повторяйте моих ошибок). Сам отель занимает старинный особняк и тихую улочку. Красивый холл и общие территории, сотрудники помогают или пытаются помочь. Рядом много мелких магазинов и кафе. Персонал помогает с чемоданами, за что им спасибо (отель без лифта). На этом плюсы заканчиваются. Самая большая проблема отеля - старые, уставшие, разваливающиеся номера. Вываливаются двери шкафа и их никто не чинит. Кондиционер течет в заботливо поставленное ведро из-под майонеза, полотенца очень старые, мебель в ванной комнате поломана, размокла и покоробилась. Уборка отвратительная. Пыль толщиной в палец. Какой-то порошок просыпан на полки ванной и светильники. Стеклянные двери душевой и кафель не мыли никогда, на них застарелые известковые потеки и следы мыла. Номера прямо кричат - отмойте и почините меня! Зона отдыха внутри, рядом с залом завтраков. тоже грязная. Стеклянные столы в жирных пятнах, к поверхности прилипают руки. Пепел лежит по 3 дня, его никто даже не стряхнет. И это при том что сами сотрудники зала для завтраков регулярно ходят курить туда же и видят все это. Завтрак никакой. Больше всего поразил меня хлеб для завтраков, который ставят нарезанным в мешках, как торбу для лошадей. Старые, почерствевшие куски выставляют и выставляют изо дня в день... Тостера нет... И это при том, что хлеб в Стамбуле вкуснейший и стоит копейки! Стамбул прекрасен, отелю желаю нового руководства, которое сделают из этого особняка чистый, опрятный леденец!

My mum and I booked at the Villa Paradiso which is the sister hotel at the back of this hotel. Upon arrival we found we were on the ground floor (which we arent keen about) so the manager Dogan was more than happy to give us a room in the Fuat Bey, Now I will first we had an excellent stay here and Dogan was so kind and accommodating, even somehow noticing it was my birthday that week and had house keeping leave me cakes and fruit in the room as a surprise, how attentive! He was also warm and happy to give us advice and chat. The room (3 berth) was spacious and nicely decorated, house keeping came often and tidied and made the bed. Which I must add was such a comfy bed!! My only criticism was the bathroom desperately needed an upgrade.. it was real let down and I shared this with Dogan. The breakfast was plentiful but the same every day and not the best of options. They will make an omelette and eventually understood the request for boiled eggs! The bread was fresh & yummy. The staff member Sadullah would always happy to help with the biggest smile. The interior of the hotel is lovely if you have time to sit in the lobby and they also have a decent back patio with foliage. Overall its definitely a 3 star, great value for money but not top notch. But for a city break where you dont spend too much time in the hotel its perfect. Its also very close to the Aya Sofia (dont forget a head scarf) and Oblisk, just over 10 minutes walk but you will have to slog up a very very steep road. Make sure you check out Basilica Cistern, Galata Tower and jump on the ferry to Kadikov when food and souvenirs are mucccch cheaper.

Our stay was really good, we loved the breakfast and the location of the hotel. We could reach the city center by walk not more than 10 min. The staff was so kind and helpful. Big thanks to Fuat Bey Palace Hotel for making our stay great! I do recommend this hotel if you ever come to Istanbul🇹🇷
