South Palm Resort Maldives

We went there for our daughter’s birthday. The staffs went above and beyond to make this special day into one of the beautiful memories that we could give to our daughter. The kids really enjoyed their time in this property.

在馬爾代夫的最南部，需要乘坐馬爾代夫的國內航線前往，並在抵達後轉乘酒店的快艇到渡假島。 酒店的接機送機還是非常不錯的，還贈送了國內出發的機場貴賓室。 不知道為什麼原因，這裡的海水很多都是海藻，下水出來後一定要沖洗乾淨。 房間一定要預訂海邊房型，價格都一樣，有日落房間還有其他許多選擇，但一定要選擇海灘房，其他的房型有許多被樹木徹底的遮擋，或、還裡面都是石頭，還特別的水淺。

Our first trip to the Maldives. What a fabulous island blue sea, white sand. The staff were the best polite and ready to help at any time. Our beach villa was lovely. Sorry to say food not the best, often cold and had to ask to walk it up which they did willingly.

10 Tage mit All Inclusive in einer Beach Villa sind für Entspannungssuchende genau das Richtige. Tolle gepflegte Anlage, Villa mit grandiosem Ausblick, Outdoor-Dusche und eigenen Liegen (für den Strand). Der Service des gesamten Personals ist sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Besonders hervorzuheben sind unser Housekeeper Billal und unser Kellner Salman, hier hat es uns an nichts gefehlt (Bett weicher gemacht, mehrmals täglich neues Wasser und frische Handtücher, Getränke standen im Restaurant schon bereit usw.) Das Restaurant könnte etwas am Ambiente machen und vor allem auf frisches Obst setzen - da gibt es nämlich keins! Auch die Gerichte in den Warmhalte-Chafings waren meistens kalt. Die Live-Cooking Gerichte waren top! Die Bar ist super, schnelle freundliche Bedienung und gute Auswahl an Getränken (ausgewählte alkoholische Drinks sind nicht im AI enthalten, spezielle Whiskeys z.B., haben wir aber nicht benötigt - haben immer Martini getrunken ;) Die Musik bei der abendlichen Unterhaltung sollte zum Wohle aller etwas leiser gestellt werden, das reicht immer noch völlig aus. Strand zur Lagune ist toll und man kann fast auf der ganzen Insel problemlos ins Wasser. Aufgrund der starken Strömung an der Riffkante ist Schnorcheln hier nur bedingt möglich. Daher gibt es auch keinen extra Steg zum Riff. Haben dennoch Haie, Schildkröten, Adlerrochen u.v.m. um die Insel herum gesehen (beim Schnorcheln in der Lagune). Man muss sich noch der längeren Anreise über Gan per Inlandsflug (70 Minuten) im Klaren sein.

We absolutely loved this place! Every second. We stayed in a water villa which really made it special. Waking up to that view then being able to take a few steps and swim or snorkel was the best. We saw at least one turtle each day and on our last day we saw 3 rays, amazing! Although the villas were a ten min walk from the restaurant it was just a quick call to reception and a buggy appeared at the end of the walkway. We loved the food, it was just our cup of tea…rice, noodles, curries, etc. Desserts could have been more varied but we always found something. Drinks were served to your table. I kept reading how great the staff were….its sooo true. All absolutely lovely. Ali was our ‘butler’ and we loved him. Also Soli in the restaurant was the best! All restaurant and bar staff were also fab. The entertainment was mixed but we made the most of it. Singing competition (hubby won), we judged an international talent show but the rest was quite poor, so we just drank and chatted to other guests. We met so many lovely people! We did the dolphin trip and shark feeding/night fishing. Both trips were great, especially the shark feeding, although I personally wish the fishing wasn’t part of the shark trip. Would have preferred to just see the sharks. We never like to holiday in the same place twice but we both said we’d love to come back to South Palm. Loved it!!

Das Hotel ist wunderbar. Die Anreise ist relativ lang (weiß man aber vorab), das Schnorcheln vom Strand weg ist leider nicht attraktiv (es gibt nicht wirklich etwas zu sehen). Badeschuhe unbedingt mitnehmen! Davon abgesehen nur positive Punkte: tolle Unterkunft (hatten die Palm Beach Villa, die uns absolut gereicht hat - geräumig, sauber, Liegen auf der Terrasse, Schatten durch Palmen...). Das Restaurant ist nicht klimatisiert (na und), aber das Essen wird teilweise frisch gekocht und ist sehr gut! Service ist toll und freundlich (wie alle auf der Insel). Tauchschule ist vorhanden und mit dem Wesentlichen ausreichend ausgestattet. Das Meer ist sauber, der Strand wird gepflegt. Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert

We have been to 9 resorts. We liked it everywhere, the staff was also good, but at South Palm Resort it was especially welcoming, ready to fulfill any of our wishes. We felt really pampered. We took an opportunity to change our rooms from beach villa to water villa, thus enjoying all the advantages that each of them provides. We received a complimentary excursion to the neighboring island and a barbecue dinner on the beach. The hotel didn't stop surprising us by gifting and delivering champagne with snacks to the room. We checked out and went home before lunch had started, and the hotel prepared take away lunch boxes for us. The night before, I asked if it was possible to get something different to the usual sandwiches, e.g., Maldivian food and some fruit and they accommodated this. We received food very nicely packed in boxes. When we opened it at the airport, we were again pleasantly surprised - one box contained our favourite Maldivian food, the other fruit and cupcakes. So delicious! We were very happy and grateful to the South Palm Resort and especially to the girl at the reception (unfortunately I don't know her name) who organized it all. Brilliant staff! Of course, everything else was also very good - a beautifully tidy island, comfortable, spacious rooms. A small drawback - there is nowhere to hide from the sun on the terraces of water villas. It would be nice to have parasols on the terrace, otherwise you have to spend all your time outside in direct sunlight. A very wide lagoon. Only most of it is covered with water grass, so the water does not look light blue, as usual in the Maldives. But it also has its own advantage - you can often meet turtles here. Little fish. We didn't see any baby sharks, nor manta rays. Overall a fantastic stay! Thank you to the smiling and truly kind staff at South Palm Resort!

Ich bin hier nach 28 Stunden Anreise ab Frankfurt mit Coral angekommen. Ich bin 37 Jahre alt und habe doch schon einige Aufenthalte in verschiedenen Ländern gehabt. Der Empfang war super herzlich und wirklich einladend. Ich habe 10 Nächte gebucht die Angestellten sind super freundlich und erfüllen einem fast jeden Wunsch. Ich hatte die Beach Villa 119, mein Roomboy hieß MoMin und hat mein Zimmer mehr als nur schön gestaltet. Ich war bzw. bin super zufrieden und freue mich bereits jetzte wo die Düse noch im Indischen Ozean sind auf meinen nächsten Besuch. Vielen lieben Dank für diesen tollen Aufenthalt 🫶❤️ আমি ফ্রাঙ্কফুর্ট থেকে 28 ঘন্টার যাত্রার পর কোরালের সাথে এখানে পৌঁছেছি। আমি 37 বছর বয়সী এবং ইতিমধ্যে বিভিন্ন দেশে কয়েকটি অবস্থান করেছি। স্বাগত সুপার উষ্ণ এবং সত্যিই স্বাগত ছিল. আমি 10 রাত বুক করেছি, কর্মীরা অত্যন্ত বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ এবং প্রায় প্রতিটি ইচ্ছা পূরণ করে। আমার কাছে বিচ ভিলা 119 ছিল, আমার রুম বয়কে মোমিন বলা হত এবং সে আমার রুমটিকে শুধু সুন্দরের চেয়েও বেশি করে তুলেছিল। আমি ছিলাম এবং অত্যন্ত সন্তুষ্ট এবং ইতিমধ্যেই আমার পরবর্তী সফরের অপেক্ষায় আছি যে জেটগুলি এখনও ভারত মহাসাগরে রয়েছে৷ এই মহান থাকার জন্য আপনাকে অনেক ধন্যবাদ 🫶❤️
