Sorrel Cottage B&B

A lovely cottage and a superb breakfast each morning. The beds were comfortable and the showers hot. We had booked both bedrooms and with sole use of the sitting room it could not have been better. Paula and Polly could not do enough for us and we felt pampered and well looked after.

I have just returned from a few days in Harris where I decided to stay at Sorrel Cottage. From the outset Paula welcomed me and I felt at home. The cottage is cosy and my room, looking to the front of the cottage, had everything I needed. The cottage is really close to Leverburgh where you can catch the ferry to Berneray/North Uist and there is a great restaurant in Leverburgh where I ate each night. What a great location! The breakfasts here (Polly, Paula's daughter cooks these) are just absolutely delicious and the coffee great. I will definitely be booking again.

What can I say about this cottage that could make it even better ? Not a lot.. Polly and Paula (Daughter and Mother) who run this place make it a stay to remember. We arrived later than expected but nothing was too much trouble. We were met with a warm smile and a warm, comfortable cottage that was so welcoming. The views are lovely, the decor is pitched just right and the breakfasts... well, the breakfasts are divine.. yeah, Im going to say that. Polly and Paula couldn't do enough for us and were more than accommodating with information about the area. Pollys husband, Chris, is a traditional weaver and we got to see some of his wares - hand made proper Harris Tweed, made on a hand powered loom and lovingly crafted. An excellent stay marred only by the fact that we had to cut it short ! I'd definetly reccommend this cottage to stay in. Thank you Polly and Paula for a lovely, if short, stay !

This bed and breakfast on the outskirts of Leverburgh was excellent. The breakfast was high quality, the best on out trip walking the Hebridean Way. The bed and breakfast offers the opportunity to buy Harris Tweed products, which we all did, the weaving of which takes place immediately by Sorel Cottage, and is connected to it. It is literally a traditional cottage industry.

Had a great stay here when cycling the Hebridean Way. We were made very welcome and the bedroom was kitted out with a great selection of tea's and coffee. The shower was great after a day's cycling and breakfast the next morning was fantastic and set us up for the day. Thank you and I hope to visit again.

mit viel liebe zum detail, praktisch und durchdacht eingerichtetes cottage, in dem wir uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt haben! das haus liegt direkt an der strasse und es gibt keine fernsicht, da ein hügel vor der haustür steht, aber das beeinträchtigt den charme dieses b&bs in keiner weise. die ringhörigen wände sind etwas problematisch, aber zum glück hatten wir während unseres dreitägigen aufenthalts nur für eine nacht zimmernachbarn. es war alles sehr sauber und das porridge mit den frischen beeren war grossartig. vielen dank für alles, wir kommen gerne wieder!
