We do not recognise the recent unfavourable reviews. We stayed here for two nights in order to spend a day in Troyes. We were worried it was very close to the motorway, but were told it was quiet, which was true. The Domaine itself is intriguing, with signs of its past life as a stables. The rooms are comfortable and tasteful. Ours, Ascot, has an ante-room featuring equestrian artefacts, like a saddle and harness. The owner does not live on-site, but the major-domo or charge d'affaires is helpful. Breakfast is excellent, with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bread, cheese and cold meats. The only drawback from our point of view is that dinner is not available, so you have to drive off-site, to a couple of places nearby or into Troyes. On one evening, we decided to stay in, and were able to order a bottle of rose and some bread, cheese, ham and grapes to eat in the garden.
