SLS PLAYA MUJERES

This was an amazing stay! I can’t rave about the staff enough! Joe, the head bell boy, took the time to talk with us. Sergio helped with our luggage to our room, got us a drink on the way, and he informed us of everything in our room. Adan at concierge helped us with reservations at restaurants and was so kind and fun to talk to. We ordered room service several times and each person that brought us our food was happy and pleasant. Daniel at the Monkey Bar gave excellent service and we enjoyed our conversations with him. We enjoyed our meals in the restaurants and the buffet had a great selection to choose from. We had the swim out room and we enjoyed putting it to use, definitely worth it. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was a truly amazing stay. The food was great, pools were fun, and views were unrivaled. Overall an amazing stay. Special shoutout to Isaac and Jorge for helping everybody have the perfect stay. Out family of 4 had a great mix of kid friendly and adult options! Would suggest for anyone!

Just returned from an amazing week at this beautiful new resort. We booked an Elite King Suite which was plenty big enough for three people - my 9 year old daughter slept on the sofa bed. I will say it wasn’t the most comfortable and I think an adult would have some difficulty sleeping on it. A mattress topper would be beneficial. We were pleasantly surprised to see that our room came with a jet tub that you can fill and drain yourself. We also had two amazing butlers, Isaac and Jorge, who booked reservations for restaurants and fitness classes. They were always very helpful with any questions and always checked in with us to make sure we were happy. We’ve never had this service at any other resort and really appreciated that extra level of communication and assistance. We spent most days by the family pool which was fine except for the constant struggle to find chairs. We noticed the adult pool was much larger - at least twice as big but not nearly as full. Besides this, we really enjoyed our time - made better by our fantastic server, Roberto. He was very attentive and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food - favorite restaurants were Union Steakhouse, Lotus and Maxine’s for breakfast. The ice cream in the coffee shop was also delicious and a nice cool treat to have while at the pool. There are many areas to relax, away from the crowds and enjoy a beverage with a great view. Go visit Daniel in the Monkey Bar - he’s friendly and will make you a great drink. We had such a great time and the weather was perfect. We hope to visit again soon.

We loved SLS Playa Mujeres, and there are several reasons for that. First of all, the location of the hotel away from the central buzz, with the private beach (not pass through) and next to the beautiful marina overlooking Isla Mujeres is simply fab. The area is well secured so one feels safe at all times. If one needs to get into town, Uber is a great option. Secondly, we loved the hotel vibe! There is amazing music everywhere and all day long. We loved pool side DJ sessions, especially those organised with the Coco Bongo crew! The pool side staff are very attentive too. Should you choose to take a rest from it all, the hotel rooms provide great sound insulation. The food was great too, and there are a lot of options. The restaurants do a wonderful, thematic job, but we loved the main buffet, the Market. Breakfast or dinner, food there has always been well cooked, well seasoned and beautifully displayed. Don’t shy away from giving them a go! As Elite customers, we had a few extra perks. The butler service is worth a special mention. Jorge and Isaac made our vacation even more so relaxing by providing various info, making bookings and simply having great chats! There is one service, however, that could be made more efficient in my view, and that is spa. Though the facilities are great, the amount of paperwork and some not so well explained extra charges prevent me from giving them thumbs up yet. I am sure this can be and will be sorted! Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at SLS Playa Mujeres & highly recommend the hotel!

We loved the special places made for kids (family pool, pool with the slides, super fun kids club with many thoughtful activities every day) as well as the gorgeous adults-only pool and the level of service at each restaurant and especially from our butlers Luis and Alexis - they were outstanding and texted us multiple times a day on WhatsApp to send daily activities, they made all our restaurant reservations and made sure we took advantage of our Elite extras - like a sailboat trip on our last day that was free of charge. They also helped us navigate confusion with a cabana we booked the night before and was cancelled which was both frustrating and disappointing but they helped us figure out a solution. Mario was also exceptional as our Croco lagoon tour guide (highly recommend, it’s free and just listed as a daily Family Tour option on the schedule but is a real nature walk off property - we all loved it!) Mexican Fest on Saturday night was excellent for all with mariachis and an on resort parade and piñata session for kiddos. Really our only complaint is the overkill of music - sometimes we had FOUR different music systems competing between the pools, gyms and bars and we actually had to leave the family pool once and the adults only restaurant Twiggy once because of how unnecessarily loud the music was. The property is stunning and so well designed - no need to ruin the ambience during the day with so much loud pop music! Still, we will definitely want to return - I imagine this resort will continue to be the best of both worlds as our kids get older too. Thanks SLS!
