Hotel Solaria Ischgl - 4 Superior

3 friends and I had the pleasure of staying in Hotel Solaria, Ischgl in January 2025. The trip itself was excellent (skiing, conditions, après, ambience etc.) and the hotel exceptional in every area. The breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner were all tasty and plentiful, the spa was large with various sauna and steam rooms, rooms were cosy yet large & the social areas including bar were perfectly appointed and welcoming. Most importantly however is the staff. All the staff we engaged with were excellent - polite, knowledgeable, friendly whom made our stay very special. We would like to give special shout out and recognition to the front of house bar/cocktail staff including Hannes and Christina. Both were excellent throughout and we cannot speak highly of their work, attitude, professionalism and service. I have had the pleasure of going on many a ski trip and this trip in January 2025, including the Hotel Solaria experience has now set the benchmark. Excellent work. I have visited the Solaria several times over the past 20 years or so. It's like "coming home" for me. The owners, Herr and Frau Kathrein have the knack of employing excellent staff who go about their work quietly and professionally, and are so helpful. The hotel is imaculate, the food delicious and the spa area amazing. The location is ideal being a short walk 2min to the main Pardatschgrat lift. It's also in a quiet part of Ischgl so the evening revellers never disturb you.

Super schönes Hotel. Wunderschöne Zimmer. Hervorrangendes Essen. Toller kleiner Wellnessbereich. Gute Lage zum Skifahren. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die meisten Mitarbeiter waren äusserst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Nur leider der Empfang beim Check-In war nicht freundlich. Schade.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Solaria after an 8 year gap, and it was wonderful to be back. The locations is excellent for the lifts, the facilities are just what you need after a hard day's skiing, food tasty, but most importantly the staff very welcoming. Thanks for having us.

We've just had a second fantastic family holiday at the Solaria. The owners and all the staff are so welcoming with very high service standards. It is one of our two most favourite hotels in the Alps and we look forward to returning again. The hotel is done to a very high standard with modern twists on alpine wooden style. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with large modern bathrooms. We enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna complex every evening. They are a welcome relief from a long day of skiing. Great location. Only 3 mins walk to the main cable car and a really comfortable new boot room with boot heaters. The food is excellent. A huge breakfast choice with fresh cooled eggs. 4 course dinner has a good choice with each dish carefully prepared and variety every day. Afternoon snack is more like another full meal and a real treat. We definitely never went hungry! Even the little touches like fresh apples by the reception and sweets for the kids to ski with. All the staff were extremely kind and also professional. It is they who really make the hotel stand out from others. We celebrated my birthday during our stay and the hotel team went out of their way to make it a special day with a thoughtful gift, card and a splendid surprise cake. We have recommended the Solaria to family qnd friends and can't wait to come back.

Es war wieder einmal ein toller Aufenthalt im Hotel Solaria. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Team war wie immer super nett und hat uns sehr verwöhnt. Der Tag startet mit frisch gemachten Omelettes, Pfannkuchen und mehr. Nach dem Skifahren kann man sich in dem wunderschönen Wellnessbereich erholen und vor dem Abendessen lädt Familie Kathrein auch mal zu einem Sektempfang. Wenn das Wetter mal schlecht ist, wird man am Nachmittag mit frischem Kaiserschmarren verwöhnt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!!
