If it weren't for the stained towels and washcloths, thin sheets and the very dirty units that hold foods in the breakfast area. It would have been a better stay. This wasn't are first stay. The choice is the best in that town. They can do so much better!

Room was mildew smell due to air conditioning. Breakfast was minimal: literally about 6 choices with orange eggs. Checkin was fine. Same guy that checked me in at 5pm was same guy making breakfast. Place needs better breakfast options and a way to address issues.

I do not recommend this place unless you have no other place to stay. Continental breakfast was lacking and was not maintained. Room smelled musty and moldy.

Bed was okay, towels very stained and old - looked like they'd just been used by someone else. No breakfast to eat, even though made it down to eat an hour and a half before it was supposed to be closed. Fitness room did not open even when using room key, which worked the room just fine. Outside in poor shape. Very overpriced for what you get.

The lobby area was clean enough but outside the lobby were a couple broken planters that didn’t bode well. Check in was smooth. Elevator needed a good vacuum and cleaning and deodorizing. The entire place smelled of old grease, mustiness, and body odor. The room was clean enough but again, it initially smelled like it had once been a smoking room and was not perfectly cleaned. And the included breakfast! Don’t even bother. There were only fragments of scrambled eggs (and we were down by 7 with an empty breakfast area); the pancake machine was broken ; no one was attending the area . If you must stay in Iola (we were there two nights due to a family funeral) be prepared to skip breakfast or go elsewhere. If you are on a road trip, choose a different route or stay in Chanute or Ottawa.

Extremely noisy thru the evening and beginning again at 615 am. Sounded like someone above had metal boots and was using a crowbar to dismantle the dry wall and ceramic tile. We have been continual users of this motel for many years and doubt we will return because of this experience.

Our room had a bad dirty sock smell. Breakfast was very limited. Staff was eating off the buffet when we got there.

Clean and the employees were nice

This hotel appears ok until you check in. Room had a smell ( told front desk-did nothing). In room lights don't all work on room, all lights near bed are out(told front desk and mgr-did nothing) Coffee maker broken, microwave nasty. Window broken (told front desk & mgr-did nothing) Pool appears nice. But hot tub is VERY DIRTY ! Pool hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Then breakfast omgg, very hard biscuits,cold gravy, scrambled eggs soaking in water,just a gallon of milk and sunny d sitting there. Tried sunny d. IT WAS WATERED DOWN ! Such an awful experience and absolutely nothing offered to be fixed or even compensated. Please steer clear. If your on road keep going. Next town wasn't far. Wish I had known. Awful awful !!!!!!!
