Had to sadly cancel our booking at 6am on the day of arrival due to receiving a call from the hospital to say we needed to get back in time as a family member was about to pass. Obviously this wasn’t planned a complete shock and it didn’t meet their seven day cancellation policy. If only we all knew seven days before we were going to pass away. Absolutely no empathy shown in messages or the phone call apart from a condescending comment about me having a tough day but it’s not their problem to foot any cost. £200 pure profit from us being able to not make the trip. I understand small businesses and more than support this but I am also a firm believer in doing the right thing. I have asked them to make a charitable donation under the circumstances but have had no response. No doubt this place is ok but I seriously question the hosts morals. Maybe think twice if this is where you want to spend your money. I had no expectations of a full refund. They said they would if they resold but they put the price up so that wasn’t going to happen. No response to my message but I assume I will get a sarcastic reply to this. A token gesture under the extreme circumstance would have made all the difference. I do hope if the hosts should ever be in the same unfortunate situation they dont have the same experience they delivered to me that day.

I have been fortunate to travel much of the world. I have stayed at substandard hotels, 5 star hotels, and many more in between. Without exaggeration, Flyers Bay Country house is by far the best place I’ve ever stayed.
The property itself is gorgeous. It has the feel of 1950s-60s country lodge but on the inside is fully modernized. The views of Loch Ness from the bedrooms is BREATHTAKING. Every night my wife and I would watch the sunset over the gorgeous water. And as a pleasant bonus, the Loch is only about 10 minutes walk from the house.
The other best part of this location is the peace and quiet. We spent much time appreciating the tranquil sounds of nature from the balcony attached to our room.
The owners, Chris and Ellen, are delightful and professional. Overall it was a complete joy to stay there. If I could rate it 6/5 stars, I would.

Ellie and Chris are good to make you feel at home, and the breakfasts are very good. They recommended places to go that were not in the guide, and that was very appreciated. I liked my room , number 1 with balcony, although not quite as luxurious as expected! But the bed is comfy ( except for the pillows but I bring my own) and it has lots of light . I really enjoyed my 4 nights stay , It was a good place to go visit de Highlands in all directions, if like I said you don’t mind single lane winding road for 10 to 20 miles around!

The foyer country house is a lovely option if you are passing through foyers. A few tips if you plan on staying: make sure to respond to the email sent before regarding dietary options and meal prep. If you don’t, they can’t accommodate well or at all. We found this out the hard way with both dinner and breakfast. Additionally, understand that’s what’s offered on the menu is included in the complementary breakfast. Thus, a variation of a tea flavour besides English breakfast or specialty coffees are not included, and they may not inform you of the additional charge until after you receive your drink. Other than that, the foyer country house is a lovely stay and even comes with 4 roaming kitties and a few chickens!

The property is in excellent location, very close to Foyers Fall and walking distance to Ness.
The surroundings are amazing.
The couple running this property are amazing and very friendly.

Faboulous Stay with the most wonderful hosts
Elly and Chris were fabulous hosts. The home is beautiful and comfortable, room was warm with a great hot shower. We had dinner at the property, one of the best meals weve had on our trip so far. This was by far our favorite stay out of 5 different accommodations on our trip so far. Just absolutely wonderful!

A lovely place to stay
We had a lovely two days at Foyers Bay Country House. Chris and Elly are amazing hosts who really care about providing their guests with an excellent experience. The location is quiet and beautiful with lots to see in the immediate vicinity. The rooms are lovely with plenty of amenities and outstanding views.
