Foyers House

Lovely! Lovely spot and fantastic hosts, with excellent food and views!

Sometimes, you find exactly what you are looking for, and this was the case at Foyers House. The arrangements and check-in time were clear, and my email messages were answered promptly. The location was great as I really wanted a view of the loch while I relaxed in Scotland. The host was cheerful and willing to help. I enjoyed the food, dinner, and breakfast, and it was prepared to a high standard. My room had a great view of Loch Ness, and I had a very restful night. I wished I could have stayed another night and explored the area more, but that's for another time, I guess. Five stars.

Very friendly welcome. The room had a great view of the loch and was very clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were plentiful and delicious. The Falls are easily accessed from the guest house - be prepared for a steep climb back up! Highly recommend staying here.

Spent only one night but was very pleased with our stay. Location is perfect if you want some stunning scenery and peace and quiet. Room was spotlessly clean, bed was extremely comfortable with quality bedding and accessories and had a lovely warm rainfall shower. Woke up refreshed and ready to start the day with a hearty cooked breakfast made with quality ingredients and a piping hot cup of fresh brewed coffee. Would recommend and would certainly stay again.

I recently spent three very enjoyable days at Foyers House on a visit to see Loch Ness. Foyers House is a cosy, comfortable home from home with wonderful food: the best breakfasts I can remember on any holiday and a wide choice for dinner. I particularly recommend the chicken korma and the gourmet wagyu beef burger. And don't get me started on the dessert menu... My room was very well appointed, the bed was very comfortable, and I could see Loch Ness from the window. There was an even better view of the Loch from the hotel terrace, and it's worth pointing out that you can't actually see the Loch from hotels in Drumnadrochit ( I stayed there many years ago, and frankly Drumnadrochit has since become very "touristy" and unfortunately rather tacky. ) Foyers House is perched high above the water on the other side of the Loch. The road to Fort Augustus provides glorious views of the mountains and valleys to the south. Full marks (literally) to Louise and Terry for making my stay so comfortable and enjoyable.

I don't know what exactly bothered other guests at the hotel. For us it was really good, we had the room with the direct view to the sea. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. After 5 PM (maybe?) the heater didn't work anymore. I think its generally turned off during summer? Anyway, they do have a lot of cats there and we adored them. Bob was our favourite ^^ The view is stunning and i'm sure the breakfast/food is also really good but we didn't had time to eat there actually.
