Right in the heart of the city next to the major shopping mall. A modern look with an old fashioned feel. Smallish clean rooms with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was interesting in terms of the breadth of offerings, especially fruit selections. A little old fashioned in feel.

Incredible value and location. The young lady at the front desk recommended a restaurant we ate at 2 nights in a row it was so good. The bartender Alex was incredible as well. Great sense of humor and made great drinks in a very nice bar atmosphere on the rooftop of the hotel. Parking right under the hotel.

This hotel is otherwise decent, if not luxurious, but my stay was unpleasant because of the front desk staff's unwillingness to accommodate my fear of heights. The main elevator is all glass and exterior facing, which means you look straight down all the way to street level as you push the button and wait for it to arrive. This view did not bother my wife, but for me it was terrifying. The interior staircase did not solve the problem, because it has a handrail only near the center, which has a dizzying view all the way down. I politely explained the situation to the receptionist and asked to use the staff elevator, which is fully enclosed. He checked with someone in a back room (presumably a manager) and refused, claiming it would somehow violate privacy laws.

Das Hotel verfügt über eine super zentrale Lage direkt an Geschäften, Restaurants und Marktplatz, z.B. 3 Min fußläufig vom Hard Rock Cafe entfernt. Das Zimmer war sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Leider fehlte Gratis Wasser auf dem Zimmer, was in 4 Sterne Häusern eigentlich sonst üblich ist. Das Bad war eher altmodisch noch mit Dusche in der Badewanne und auch die Hotel Lobby/ Rezeption war optisch nicht besonders ansprechend gestaltet, aber das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und darauf kommt es schließlich viel mehr an. Das Frühstück war zudem überdurchschnittlich mit tollen exotischen Früchten und frisch gebackenen Kuchen. Das Buffet war wirklich vielfältig und hochwertig und ein genussvoller Start in den Tag.

I debated which hotel to book in Innsbruck and was pleased I chose the PENZ. Very modern and stylish. The glass lifts provide an excellent view as you access your room or the 5th floor bar. The bar has views over the town and surrounding mountains plus a very knowledgeable and friendly bartender. The breakfast, also served on the 5th floor, was one of the best I’ve had with an extensive choice of different types of food. Our room on the 4th floor also had mountain views. The only thing it lacked was a kettle and provision to make drinks other than coffee. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the station and well located for everything Innsbruck has to offer. It’s a pity the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant as I feel that would have been better than the limited range of restaurants open on Sunday and Monday evenings.

Really impressed with this hotel! Excellent service from staff throughout. Comfortable and well-equipped room, great bathroom with plenty of instant hot water. Some nice touches in the room, like a Nespresso machine with a small selection of capsules and sugar (no milk provided though, but you can pick this up easily at a nearby supermarket and keep it in the in-room fridge). Reliable and fast free WiFi in the room. No USB charging adapters built-in, you will need your own. Efficient air-con, if a little noisy. Great breakfast, with plenty of choice including some hot food, in the top-floor restaurant with rooftop views. The hotel does not have its own restaurant for midday or evening meals but there is plenty of choice within a short walking distance. Personal favourites - Cafe Arkadenhof and Fischerhäusl. City centre location is excellent. If you arrive by bus from the airport (as I did), it is a 5-minute, level, walk from the bus stop to the hotel. The same stop also for buses and trams to the main railway station. Other buses and trams pass close to the hotel. Don't forget to pick up your free Innsbruck Welcome Card from hotel reception. This gives you free use of public transport within the city area and beyond as well as other benefits for the length of your stay. I also recommend the VVT (local transport company) app for your phone to help you find your way around by public transport. Stayed 4 nights in September (luckily with excellent weather!).

Noise. 4 points for the bathroom. You can park under the hotel. This cost is a part. But you have the lift going directly in the reception.
