What a perfect place to stay while visiting the surroundings of Inari! Nice and friendly owners/staff welcoming us. The surrounding is quiet and spatial, not the mass of a hotel. Also at night it is a good spot for watching the sky, searching for the northern light. There is little light pollution, as it is situated outside the city centre. The 2-person-cabin was really nice and cosy (we had no. 14). The water boiler, fridge and microwave were very nice to have in the cabin. When not doing any activities, we could use the table for playing some card- or boardgames. The beds were nice and large. The view out of the cabin was amazing. The cabin really looked well maintained, with comfortable heater and cosy dimmable lights (and free wifi available for those interested in having that). In the evening we enjoyed the hamburgers and kebab/pita at the restaurant, they tasted so good that we had dinner there three times! The breakfast in the morning is fresh and good. Basic, but enough choice, and perfect for starting your day (and actually, who needs an abundance of food in the morning anyway? That can only produce too much waste ;) The sanitary building was clean, great shower, and all looking quite new. There is a separate kitchen where you can have your own meal, although in winter there are no cooking facilities (only the microwave and water boiler in your own cabin). In spring/summer/autumn you can cook in here. We couldn't take bedlinnen and hand towels, but for a small amount they provide it for you. If you can't take your own cups, plate or cutlery, they also sell it at the reception. There is a bus line in front of the campground, but it only goes a couple of times a day. A walk to Ivalo village is very nice. You can walk on the frozen river (takes about an hour) or alongside the road (takes about 40 minutes).
