Wonderful experience staying in this hotel. Clean rooms, great views., awesome food. A very serene and calm location

We stayed here for two nights. Dogs on the property and in the neighbourhood barked and howled all night under our window on both nights. so we didn't sleep a wink. The towels are grey and old. The sheets were worn out, marked, and had holes in them.

The Tea Harvester Hotel in Munnar is a stunning new property that captures Victorian elegance, nestled between verdant tea estates and pristine forest. The architectural design perfectly complements its picturesque setting, creating a truly memorable first impression. The accommodation is thoughtfully designed, with well-appointed rooms featuring private balconies that offer breathtaking views - choose between the serene forest landscape or the rolling tea plantations. The interior furnishings reflect attention to detail and comfort. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by several disappointments. The ongoing swimming pool construction created significant noise disturbance, impacting the peaceful atmosphere we had anticipated. More concerning was the noticeable disparity in service between international and domestic guests, with Indian visitors often receiving less attentive treatment. The hotel promotes various activities including tea plucking, cardamom harvesting, nature walks, and tea tasting sessions. However, these experiences were consistently unavailable during our stay, with staff citing the absence of guides and specialists. The promised campfire experiences were also not provided. The dining experience was mixed. While the à la carte options impressed with their flavors and preparation, the breakfast buffet was rather basic and could benefit from improvement. In conclusion, while the Tea Harvester Hotel boasts exceptional architecture and location, the service standards and activity management need significant improvement to match the property's premium positioning. With better staff training and consistent delivery of promised experiences, this hotel could truly excel.

We stayed at The Tea Harvester for a couple of days on our tour of Kerala. The setting was lovely amid the tea plantations. Room was comfortable and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Doesn’t serve alcohol but they are happy to go down the road and buy wine or beer to accompany your meal. Thoroughly recommended!

We had a fantastic 2 night stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was first class amidst a wonderful setting. The bedroom was very clean and the bed comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt extremely welcome The Tea Harvester is to be highly recommended.

Stayed 2 nights, superb setting, lovely views over tea plantation from balcony. Walked through the plantation and through the gardens. Clean rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Nice restaurant with terrace, great selection of food. Very peaceful would highly recommend.

This hotel claims to be in between tea garden and view of garden but there are two types of room 1 tea view 2 garden view but you only get tea garden view in tea view room so be aware before booking room if you want tea garden view and the restaurant staff told us strictly to have breakfast between 8 to 9 am like after that we can't have breakfast we also complains regarding the room so manager gave us the room with tea garden view hotel location is excellent but staff behaviour is really bad

One of the most aesthetically pleasing places to stay in Munnar. Tea Harvester borders the Tata Tea plantations and offers stunnig views of mountains and valleys. We stayed in a room that allowed us to view a glorious sunrise from the warmth of our bedroom. Its is well maintained and the hospitality is warm. The complementary breakfast offered good choices - Paneer parantha, poori, chole, dosa, idli, chutney sambar, French toast, pineapple fritters , boiled egg, freshly made omelets, coffee/tea/juice etc. A walk through the tea plantation in the morning is a great way to start the day.

Kerala in July is breathtakingly beautiful and our stay at Tea Harvester Munnar was undoubtedly one of the best experiences that will remain in our memories forever...with balconies looking out at the surrounding lush tea gardens, rooms having muted light and comfy beds, excellent food and a wonderful service to boot... Tea harvester, Munnar felt like another welcoming home...would definitely stay again

Caring and friendly staff.. beautiful views snd lovely birds. We were on the 3rd floor and saw leaf birds, flame throated bulbuls, rufous treepies as well as many others.. Whilst I was there I was walking in the tea plantation and slipped in the monsoon mud. Rohid and Anil came to rescue me because they saw me disappear and not resurface! The staff were all so kind, offering to drive us to the hospital and encouraging us to get medical attention.. it turned out I fractured my ankle.. they continued to look after me really well, bringing meals out of the service hours when we returned from the hospital and helping me get around… The room was lovely although I do agree about the dearth of towels.. no face cloths or hand towels but they will bring extra regular size ones and bath mats.. and tons of extra tea. Oh, and they clean the floors with lemongrass oil in the water.. heavenly! Thanks to Sanid and Ajix, Rohid and Anil and the ladies who clean and helped me up the stairs…

It was the most disappointing stay in this resort. The staff is rude the food is bland and the price is exorbitant. The staff is impolite and doesn't respond to your queries. Whenever asked for any help, they give you attitude as if they are doing a favor to you. To top it all there is some construction noise going around all the time. There's some continuous drilling going on outside the rooms which makes it impossible to stay in the hotel.

The Tree Harvester is a hotel housed in a vintage bungalow inside a tea garden. It is located in Chungath estate in Chitirapuram, near a hydel power house, about 6 kms away from Anchal and about 12 kms away from Munnar. Good motorable road connects this property except for the last 800 m, which is single lane dirt road inside the tea estate. Gruenberg Tea Plantations Haus is on the other side of the tea garden. The hotel is housed in an old bunglow with spacious rooms and excellent views all around. There is a Kathakali and Kalaripayattu center nearby where regular performances are held. The food quality & taste are excellent and quantity justifies the price. The open air dining is very enjoyable. It is a pity that the management of such an excellent property is very casual about the hospitality. All parts of the property are not cleaned properly like the fountain etc. The bed sheets and towels are not clean and have spots on them. The towels are wornout, the bedsheets have holes and the plastic chairs are chipped. . The house keeping staff are not very efficient. The extra bed and mattresses are kept on the balcony right outside the rooms. The other staffs are quite indifferent and neglect guest complains. We had booked room at upper level and was given a room where the latch of the balcony door was broken. Though it was informed to the hotel front desk in the noon, it didn't get repaired till late evening. Then they tied a plastic rope and asked us to bear it till next day. After some discussion they shifted us to ground level room for the night. Next day we were allotted a room on the upper level but had to shift our luggage ourselves as no staff was available. The parking is also small and accommodates 6-7 cars. In a nutshell, the property and its location are excellent but other than that, nothing justifies it's 3⭐ status as claimed on various travel portals. My suggestion is to book this property only through some reputed travel agencies and take their help in case of need.

Tea harvester is an amazing place for a short stay. Properly located at an awesome location inside a tat-as tea plantation. Nit & clean room. Toilet. Food is great. Chicken preparation is especially good. Finally the staff is very helpful from all aspects. It's a memorable trip at munnar at tea harvester property.
