Unterkunft und Essen waren gut. Schöne Zimmer und gutes Frühstück. Personal sehr freundlich! Immer wieder!

This property is conveniently located inside the scenic pedestrian zone of Idstein, but is accessible by taxi. It is a typical small European hotel, which means the rooms are small but clean with modern amenities, a tiny elevator, and a reception that is only sporadically staffed. A nice breakfast is available by advance booking. Our biggest complaint was the strong smell of tobacco smoke that permeated the halls during the day, but luckily disappeared by check-in time and did not enter our room.

We stuitten op dit hotel op de weg terug naar huis. Het ligt midden in het gezellige oude centrum en alles is er aanwezig. Aangezien we nog op reis waren naar huis, wisten we niet hoe laat we hier zouden aankomen maar dat maakte niet uit omdat er een 24-uurs receptie is. De kamer was top, het heeft een airco en hele fijne bedden. Het ontbijt is voldoende, niet ontzettend uitgebreid maar er is zeker voor ieder wat wils.

Great place to stay in Idstein! Very friendly staff

On the way back from winter holiday, we booked another hotel in Idstein. But it happened to be closed for arrival after 16.00h (and we booked it at 16.16h) and arrived at 18.00h. After some one way roads in the historical center (really beautiful) when we were looking for Goldenes Lamm (we found on TripAdvisor) we arrived really close to the hotel (but blocked to get in the right street). We parked the car and walked 10 steps to the hotel, had to ring the door bell and the manger arrived. We were welcomed warmly (also by the small dog) and it was no problem to get a room at a very decent price. Later we realized we were the only guests in the hotel. We received instructions to pick up the car and drive a few blocks around, to get in front of the hotel and from there really around the corner was a commercial parking. We received a larger room with a smaller bath room in the second floor. If you have claustrophobia you have to take the stairs, because of the small and slow lift. Opposite the hotel is an Italian restaurant, where we had a nice dinner. Just a few steps away, we were back in the hotel for a quite night. A really good breakfast in the morning, although the lady serving the breakfast apologized for the quantity of it all (remember we were the only guests). But if we needed more, we would of course get more. There was no need for more food, it was much more then we needed. We had a fine night in a very nice hotel at a very nice price. Perfect for what we were looking for.

Lucky to stumble on this little gem while travelling through Germany. We were offered free tea, coffee or a beer on arrival, by the friendly and exceptionally helpful host. Lovely clean and quiet room with complimentary water and apples! There is free parking in a car park a few hundred metres away.

The hotel is located in the middle of the Idstein Old Town, so convenient for touring. Receptionist was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Our room was basic (no fridge or microwave, no shampoo or lotion) but certainly adequate, clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was served for a fee.

ここは旧市街のど真ん中、キリンガーハウスにも徒歩３０秒で行けます。立地が最高です。清潔なお部屋で、快適な滞在でした。エレベータが限られた空間に後で作ったらしいもので、少々変わったエレベータでしたが、それでも重い荷物を持って階段を上がることを思えば、とても助かりました。レセプショニストの女性がとても好感の持てる方で、さらに気持ちの良い滞在になりました。朝食もいろいろ揃っていて十分でした。そのうえとても割安な宿泊料金と、何拍子もそろったお宿で、文句のつけようがありません。
