Lovely group of four lodges, in immaculate private grounds, overlooking the Stanley and Livingstone game reserve. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We loved the rural “get away from it all” feel, combined with the convenience of Victoria Falls being only a 15 minute taxi ride away.

Very calm and intimate experience
Ursulas is a very nice, intimate experience, where only 4 cabins exist. The staff were very attentive and friendly, making the overall experience great. Dinner at the porch while wild animals pass by during the evening was a very special time.

Entering the property at Ursula's Homestead you are immediately struck by the warm welcome from the staff and the amazing view of wildlife just feet from your room. The chalet style rooms are large and comfortable, with the feel of privacy that makes me feel at home. We sat for hours just watching the wildlife - giraffes, kudu, baboons, impala. No need for a bumpy ride in a safari truck needed. And the food is delicious, too. Would definitely stay again.

Great lodge
Very helpful and friendly staff. Out of town lodge so very quiet. Plenty of wildlife using the water-hole every day. Facilities good

Für uns war es nach 13 Jahren der zweite Besuch in der kleinen Anlage. An den zweckmäßig und nett eingerichteten Zimmer hatte sich nichts verändert. Sie sind nach wie vor sehr sauber und geschmackvoll dekoriert. Es gibt nur drei Zimmer, die jeweils in einem frei stehenden kleinen Haus untergebracht sind. Dazu kommt eine Suite in einem extra Haus. Im Gegensatz zu unserem ersten Besuch war ein Teil des Personals mit seinen Aufgaben entweder überfordert oder hat die wöchentliche Abordnung aus dem Mutterhaus (Stanley and Livingstone Lodge) als willkommenen Urlaub angesehen. Das der Service grundsätzlich noch auf sehr hohem Niveau sein musste, zeigte uns ein kurzer Besuch in der Stanley und Livingstone Lodge. Im Old Ursula Homestead war er jedenfalls nicht wie gewohnt und nicht nach unseren Vorstellungen. Die angebotenen Speisen zum Dinner waren schmackhaft und gut, genau wie das im Zimmerpreis enthaltene Frühstück. Insgesamt hatten wir die Unterkunft in besserer Erinnerung und sind gespannt, wie sich der Platz nun, nach einem erneuten Besitzer- bzw. Anbieterwechsel entwickeln wird.

This a wonderful place to finish off our holiday to Botswana. It was tranquil and great place to sit by a beautiful pool and under an umbrella watching giraffes, elephants, impala wandering across the area in front of the hotel. The waterhole in October did not have much water in it to attract too many animals. The rooms were very spacious and clean with A/ c (what a treat !!) Breakfasts were delicious , also lunch and dinner ( but a limited menu ) We had a lovely meal at the Livingston hotel up the road which Ursulas arranged transport to. They also arranged for transport (for a fee) to the entrance of Victoria Falls , who came back at a specified time to take us back. Victoria Falls were still amazing even though it didn’t have an enormous amount of water flowing over

Located on the edge of the Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve and near the more luxurious Stanley & Livingstone Hotel, of which it belongs, Ursula's Homestead is a cosy and pretty resort of only 4 bungalows facing a waterhole, offering the chance of spotting various animals coming and drinking just in front of the property, which also includes a small pool, where the water could be however kept cleaner, and a common area where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. The bungalows are simple but spacious and have a nice, captivating character, particularly the one with a thatched roof, while the appearance of other three, which have a corrugated roof, are somehow less attractive even though the interior is the same. The common area is as well full of character and the food choices are excellent for breakfast and acceptable for lunch/dinner, when the choice of dishes is limited but they are generally well cooked. Service is kind and warm although not always entirely efficient. The best quality of the resort is its quietness and cosiness, which makes it the perfect choice for those searching for a direct contact with the animals in a more intimate environment.
