Holiday Haven White Sands

Unfortunately the park is no longer maintained by management. The cabins are not updated, three years in a row have been dirty on check in. Missing light covers, furniture falling apart. Family staying in caravan also complained public toilets are filthy.

Being creatures of habit we have always holidayed at the same caravan park. This time we decided to change it up after a recommendation from friends. We spent 3 nights at this park and we could have spent many more. The facilities are clean and very well kept. The management and staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a drive through site with an ensuite which was very clean. Most sites have either a concrete slab or the grass sites mostly have shade cloth pegged down. The beach is very close and it was very calm while we were there. Being inside Jervis Bay, not a lot of swell gets in there. The Main Street is only a short distance and is an easy walk. We actually walked to Vincentia one morning which was an easy 3.5km. If you have bikes then there are paths going South and into the Main Street. We will be back soon. Highly recommend this park.

While the location is good (close to main street and beach), it was the management of the park that spoilt the stay (as well as theft of items from our site). There was only one spot for rubbish disposal (too bad if you were at the other end of the park) and when maintenance issues were pointed out, nothing was noted or fixed (ie hand dryers not working and floppy shower arms in the amenities). The grounds need more attention (long grass) as well as discarded items removed, the place just felt neglected. There have been a number of thefts reported through the park (e bikes etc) and when we reported ours, management's response was "not our fault, your problem, we tell you to take responsibility" - which is apparently on park rules which you dont get a copy of with their electronic check in. A number of regulars patrons were also very unhappy with the way the park has gone downhill.
