Very nice.

The staff are not friendly. We had a bad experience when we arrived because they charged us about$ 115 extra than our reservation by trip.com. So I don't recommend this hotel!

The pools and beach were very nice and clean. Food was okay! Not much variety and repetitive. AC in the lobby was never working We were only given one room key!

Our stay at Labranda Royal Makadi has been a mix of positives and areas for improvement. Check-in was smooth, and while we were initially given a twin room instead of a double, this was sorted the next day without any hassle. The rooms, though dated, are exceptionally clean, and our cleaner goes above and beyond to ensure everything is spotless, which is highly appreciated. Breakfast is a highlight, offering a good selection, including omelettes and poached eggs. However, it's strange that fresh juice costs €2 and isn't included in the all-inclusive package. Lunch is okay, with options like pizza, chips, and pasta, but dinner is a bit of a letdown. While there are themed nights, the food tends to be repetitive. The recent Indian night, for example, didn’t feel authentic at all—no poppadoms or naan bread were in sight. One significant downside is the lack of drink service during dinner. Not once have I been offered a drink while dining, which is surprising for a 5-star resort. Even when I’ve gone to get my own drink, it’s been difficult. This feels like a basic service that should be provided, especially at this level. Another disappointment is the handling of ice cream. I love ice cream, and it's baffling that it’s only available at lunch in 2 flavors, served in small portions by a staff member. If you want ice cream outside of lunch, you have to pay for it at the gelateria. In all the all-inclusive hotels I’ve visited, I’ve never encountered one that doesn’t include ice cream as a standard offering. Water is freely available, but oddly, it’s only placed on tables during dinner. The wine is ok and served in very small glasses, which might not appeal to many guests. On a brighter note, most of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, which has made certain aspects of our stay enjoyable. Overall, I’d rate this hotel as a low 4-star rather than the 5-star it claims to be. While some aspects like cleanliness and staff friendliness stand out, other basics like meal service, drink availability, and inclusive offerings need significant improvement. I’m still here and will update this review if anything changes.
