We have stayed at this hotel before and had a better experience. But this time we had a first floor room that had a scent like it was covering up something. I have sensitivity to smells so it gave me a little headache. Our room was a little worn, the sheers were stained. Otherwise it was fine. The hotel itself looked clean and there was a nice patio in the back. Nice view of downtown Huntington from the patio. If we go again I will stay on a top floor.

Checked into the hotel, went to the room the tv wasn't working in the room. My grandkids wanted to go to the pool, so we changed and went to the pool only to find the pool was closed. I asked the attendant about the tv, and the pool and he said maybe next week the pool might get fixed. I was only staying one night, and he couldn't help with the tv. My grandkids weren’t happy about both the tv and the pool. The main reason why I chose this hotel was that it had an indoor poor. So went to the room and changed into our clothes and checked out of the hotel. The same attendant said I would have to talk to the manager tomorrow about a refund. He also wouldn't give me a checkout confirmation. I wasn't at the hotel but about 30 minutes before I checked out. Very disappointing.

Booked 2 queens and was given king, had to buy another room. Hair on bathroom floor, bed smelled like urine. The breakfast lady slapped my hand when reaching for a WRAPPED muffin. Told me to use tongs. She touched me , but was worried about germs? Indoor pool looks cloudy.

Overall, I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The location is convenient for Huntington with a handful of things nearby, and the curb appeal and safety/security both checked out. The staff were all super friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was well above average, with nice lobby areas as well. Bonus points for the nice patio featuring a super cool view. As for my room, it was a 2 queen room which was quite nice with a mini fridge, microwave, and all the amenities you’d expect in a normal Fairfield. The desk area was spacious and there were plenty of outlets, and the room was well lit. I Only Left With 3 Complaints: -Broken Bathroom Door Lock -Some Grime in the Shower -The Beds* *While clean with nice linens, the beds were super hard to the point of being annoying, an issue I’ve ran into at a different Fairfield of a similar age as well. Overall though, this is a very nice property I could easily recommend.

No problem with room, meal, etc. BUT every single year I call and request a room with a bathtub. I have scoliosis in my back, cannot stand for a shower, and I am supposed to soak and do stretches in the tub. Every single night. Every year - too many to count- I call and request, and every year there is a mixup, glitch, dont call 800 number, you talked to the wrong person. This umyear someone said yes to tub tlroom and entered as KING. Hotel full, " unable" to switch. If you have a special need, AVOID Fairfield Inn. Huntington. Meanwhile, I am in pain with no recourse til home on Monday

For the most part this hotel was better than expected. It is a typical run of the mill Fairfield Inn. Does have a beautiful patio with a great view of the mountains an fall colors. Room was fine. Breakfast was decent too. Staff works hard to keep it stocked. I think the only negative was the indoor pool featured too much chlorine. A business associate of mine made the mistake of opening his eyes underwater and got burned pretty good. I did not make this error, but the pool area did smell too heavy of chlorine. Elevators were also a bit spotty, one was broken for my entire stay.

Incredibly comfortable, modern clean hotel. Nice location. Breakfast bar was very clean and well stocked. Rooms super clean, very comfortable bedding. Biggest complaint - the door to our room squeaked like a dungeon door - and it was a very loud squeak/groan. I noticed several other rooms squeaked just as badly. We left a note at the front desk on our first day, and never heard anything back or noticed if anyone even bothered to check our door. Beware the dungeon doors if you're trying to sleep in.

Great views, sweet desk attendant beautiful views. Dining and front dest area very nice ans spacious. Rooms=super thin walls, ants, bed bugs, safety issues like plastic on smoke detector and doors that don't lock. Pool murky

hallways and elevators smell fresh and clean, Very clean room, comfortable beds, breakfast is neatly displayed allowing for easy selection, reception lady was helpful. Definitely worth recommending to other guests!
