Many hotels offer an acceptable but ultimately forgettable experience - PopAlp is not one of them. My daughter and I stayed in a twin room for four nights on a half-board basis, and from start to finish, we loved it. What really made our stay stand out was the fantastic team at PopAlp. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. While I don’t like to single anyone out - because they were all great - I have to say Melissa was a particularly thoughtful and attentive host, always ensuring everything was just right for dinner. The room was comfortable, cozy, and well-equipped. The balcony, with its stunning sunset views, was the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the slopes—and indulge in a well-earned treat from the nearby Le Boulanger patisserie. Breakfast offered a good selection of hot and cold options, with plenty of variety and flavors to set us up for the day. In the evenings, the restaurant seemed underused, which was surprising because every meal we had was delicious and served in generous portions. The location was perfect for maximizing ski time. PopAlp has a ski hire shop below it and is right beside the ski pass ticket office and the Telecentre basket lift, which takes you up to the Pic Blanc and Signal lifts. Alternatively, a five-minute walk across the bridge brings you to the Alpe Express lift, providing easy access to the Bergers shopping centre and the Marmottes and Romain chairlifts. PopAlp has a fresh energy and lovely charm that made our trip extra special. We’ll definitely be back!
