The Hudson Whaler

We went to the Hudson Whaler hotel for a few days the beginning of July 2025. The hotel is absolutely charming. and is located on the Main Street of town with easy walking distance to most of the recommended local sights, restaurants and shops. When we entered the hotel, we were greeted by a very friendly and most personal young woman who showed us around the main floor with the beautiful and charming Old World furnishings and decorations, including the lovely backyard with comfortable seating surrounded by flowers and plants. . We then went up to look at our room and were very impressed with all the modern up to date amenities. The furniture, while looking Old World contained all modern and up to date features with the bed having a most comfortable firm mattress, very soft linens and several blankets, there was a large flat screen TV, heat and air conditioning with in room controls and even an outlet box to charge your computerized devices. The new fully equipped bathroom had excellent lighting and a terrific walk in shower. Our stay at the Hudson Whaler was wonderful and the staff was most courteous and helpful in answering all our questions and requests for restaurants, places of interest, travel directions etc.

Many things to love - 1. Vibe and decor 2. Host Kristine- gave us great recommendations and was such a warm host 3. Location can't be beat! Walked everywhere Couldn't have asked for a better girls weekend location. Coming back and will recommend to other friends. ❤️

Really cute and cozy place. The staff were wonderfu and helpful. Christine handed a list of restaurants, cafes etc. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were nice. I also appreciated the fact that the shower and toilet were separated. Would defintely staty here again.
