Biggy Best Boutique Hotel & Self Catering Cottages

Biggy Best was a good place to stay, very friendly staff, just one bit of advice the fans in room 2 and 3 need to be sorted out they aren't screwed in properly so the noise is quite irritating

The property is close to all amenities. The accommodation was disappointing and the service was lacking. The restaurant had a basic menu but the food was good.

The good part The establishment is located in a quaint spacious, fully fenced garden and is very central to all amenities. The setting is very peaceful and the staff that we came in contact with were extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the weather was wet and misty therefore not ideal to spend exploring the grounds which we would have loved to do. The “log” cabin that we had was on the small size but it was clean and had all the facilities for a two night stop over. The not so good part We were told that we could book in any time after 14h00 yet when we arrive at approx... 15h45 we were informed that we’d have to wait as our room was not ready. We spent about 20mins. waiting before we were shown to our room which was rather annoying to say the least. The following day we were away for the day and when we arrived back at approx... 16h45 to have a shower and get ready to go out for a meal we found we had no towels. Surely this could have been done sometime during the course of the day while we were out. Sorry but the not so good part has cost you a star. We will be back in Howick before the end of November and will stop over again. Hopefully on the next visit the not so good part will have been sorted out and we can give you 5 stars.
