Lythwood Lodge

Had an awful experience here. Aircons not functioning in the first cottage we booked, moved us to another one and had the same issue. Furthermore, one of the rooms had a bat flying around all night so we couldn’t use that room. The restaurant is an absolute disappointment. Restaurant was very untidy and outdated. Very limited menu with no steak options, no cocktails available, waitress had no knowledge of the menu whatsoever. The food is way over-priced and the quality is nowhere near par. Definitely not “award winning quality” The restaurant had no air conditioning and was infested with bugs. We could not eat at the restaurant because of this and opted for a takeaway. The food was over salted and not edible. Breakfast was abysmal, no alternate milks available after confirming there was and was told 20 mins later. Overall, a horrid experience. The only plus was the manicured gardens but that was it! Honestly feel like I was robbed because we could use the 1 bedroom at all. Between the bat and aircon leaking onto the floor and furthermore it was my wifes 44th birthday today and we were utterly disappointed.

Awesome experience We have had an amazing stay at Lythwood Lodge, staying in a self catering unit for my birthday celebrations. What an amazing time was had by all, the unit was beautiful, clean and had everything you would need for a weekend away. The special treat was the turndown service every night making it so special walking in from dinner to warm rooms and bathrooms and a little treat on the dining table! Breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing and so well worth it. The dinner menu is changed daily and the menu has something for everyone. We will definitely be back, thank you to the Lythwood Lodge team for your amazing service, the staff all around are super friendly and so helpful making the stay all the more enjoyable. * Thank you for the birthday dessert which was a special touch!
