Saw this hotel on "Four in a bed" so decided to try as celebrating an anniversary. Hotel is situated in the South Downs area, a beautiful place and we had a view of the downs from our room. Fabulous. Had dinner and breakfast. Food was superb some of the best we have had. Our room was ok, but the table beside the bed was rather wobbly. Fresh milk was provided on request. However, we had to ask twice for milk and an advertised kettle, with an hours wait! Service otherwise was very good, particularly the waitress we had at dinner and the waitress at breakfast. Bed was very comfortable and slept well. Would stay there again. Not cheap but worth it. Highly recommend.

We found ourselves needing a hotel last minute to miss hacking round the M25 on a Friday evening and found Tottington Manor by accident. We had our dog with us so I called to see if that was ok and it was. I booked a room there and then and within 25 minutes we were there, being welcomed by Mollie. The room was beautiful and spacious so we went downstairs for a drink in the garden to enjoy the sunshine. Every single member of staff was lovely and the bartender was knowledgable and allowed us to have a taster of draft beers we weren’t sure about. It was idyllic in the garden and a real haven after the crazy couple of days travel we’d had. We went for dinner in the restaurant, Terra, and I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever had - beautifully presented, delicious and satisfying. There was a good, laid back buzz in the hotel and the live music during dinner was excellent and not too much. After an amazing sleep in the comfiest of beds we had to leave very early so unfortunately missed breakfast (which I’m sure would have been equally delicious) but we were offered a takeaway coffee for our travels which was so thoughtful and very good. We will definitely be back and it was well worth the stop - I’m so glad we found it. Thanks to everyone for a memorable stay!

Such a lovely venue for a wedding. We attended our nephew and his new wife’s wedding and was overwhelmed in what a lovely place this was. Wedding was beautiful and so organised. Staff were lovely, chatty, friendly and helpful. Food was lovely and hot, huge portions and beautifully cooked.

I have stopped here for a drink whilst cycling and the hotel is situated in a picturesque setting. It would have been lovely if the weather was great but it was pouring down so I had to enjoy the view from the inside instead. Drinks was decently priced and staff are friendly

I have recently had afternoon tea here on two occasions, once with a friend and then with my husband. Both times I have been impressed with the standard of service as well as the afternoon tea itself. When we couldn't finish all the 'goodies', we were given a container to take them home. I have been to many places for afternoon tea, including in London, and this is extremely good value for money as well as a welcoming venue in a beautiful setting.

Fabulous locationlocation, food was amazing. Staff were very attentive, and we couldn't have asked for more. We had the afternoon tea but the food coming out of the kitchen smelt devine. We will definitely return and possible stay. Great venue for a wedding or party.

Came here for Sunday lunch. The welcome was wonderful, the food was excellent (decent portion sizes) and the staff were brilliant. They also do a mini pudding and hot drink which I think should be the law for all restaurants when you can't face a whole dessert but you want something sweet to end the meal. We'll be back.

Bought afternoon tea voucher as a treat for elderly friends. On leaving they were told there was £7.50 to pay. On asking ‘what for?’ they were told service charge. (12.5%). I realise the voucher didn’t include service but when my friends got flustered trying to find £7.50 in their purses they were told it was optional. One of them found £5 cash and handed that over. This was very badly handled and put them in a humiliating position. The staff should have said they could leave something for service if they wished, it should not have been stated like a charge they had to pay before leaving. They felt awkward and I regret giving them a gift that upset them.

Very pleased with the service and special attention. We booked a table but a member of our party had Coeliac Disease and he had concerns about cross-contamination. I telephoned and spoke to Phil, he reassured me that every effort is made to deal with special requirements and allergies, he also said that we had further concerns I could speak to the head chef, Chris.
