Having made a direct reservation and paid in advance, we arrived at the end of the day to be told by the manager while waving paperwork in our face, that “someone else is in your room”The manager had no grasp at all of the implications of having double booked our room and seemed not to care less that we had just arrived in a small village that we didn’t know at all, with very limited accommodation options and it about to get dark. He was totally unapologetic, offered no explaination and made it very obvious he just wanted us to leave. He then reluctantly called the owner who had an even more appalling attitude, rude and totally dismissive of the problem caused entirely by their inefficient admin system, just saying they would refund us so where was our problem?He was adamantly unwilling to offer assistance to help us find somewhere else to stay or make any suggestions and when asked if this was a reasonable way to treat a guest said, “you are no guest of mine, have a good evening” and put the phone down. I have this call recorded. Unbelievably unprofessional!
