Fantastic stay, 3 nights overall. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, looking after lost property a relative left behind until we went later. Room was well kept and very comfortable. Food was good quality and reasonably priced - buffet breakfast included was plenty but cooked breakfast available for a little extra was very nice. Evening meal menu had plenty of choice. The hotel is in a fantastic area (Quantock hills) which gets overlooked. We will be going back at some point again!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in July 2025 and had a lovely stay. We had dinner in the restaurant both evenings and the food was of a very high standard. The cooked breakfast both mornings was also very nicely cooked and presented and complimented the buffet options available. The bar is plentiful and all the staff I encountered were all very pleasant and professional. We stayed in Room 17 and the bed was very comfortable, so good nights sleep were assured. Gareth, the owner, was also very pleasant too and him and his wife are doing a marvellous job as the custodians of this hotel. The setting is delightful; peaceful and very well located for both hill walking (access to Quantocks is just a very short walk from hotel entrance) or exploring the beach and promenade at Minehead and surrounding areas. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to other travellers.

We stayed two nights as part of our walking holiday. We were allocated a room on the ground floor with a conservatory on to the garden which was perfect as it was so easy for us and the dogs! We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was delicious.

We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our wedding reception at Combe House Hotel, and we couldn’t have asked for a more magical experience. We had exclusive use of the hotel for two days, and it truly felt like our own private country retreat. The setting is stunning — nestled in the beautiful Quantock Hills, the hotel’s grounds and gardens are picture-perfect and created a peaceful, romantic atmosphere that our guests adored. The staff were exceptional — friendly, attentive, and nothing was ever too much trouble. They made the whole weekend feel effortless, and their genuine warmth added so much to the joy of our celebration. Lisa and her team for coordinating the reception to making sure our guests were well looked after, they went above and beyond. The food was absolutely outstanding — beautifully presented, locally sourced, and full of flavour. Every meal across the weekend was delicious, from the welcome dinner to the wedding breakfast and the relaxed brunch the morning after. The rooms were full of character, immaculately clean, and incredibly comfortable. Having the whole hotel to ourselves meant our family and friends could fully relax and enjoy every moment with us. It really added to the sense of intimacy and celebration. We are so grateful to Combe House Hotel for helping us create the wedding weekend of our dreams. It was everything we hoped for and more. If you’re looking for a venue with charm, warmth, and exceptional service, look no further. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the setting, the facilities and the food and drink. The restaurant is very pleasant and the food of a high standard. Our room was a good size, the bed especially comfortable. I would say the staff could be a little more attentive. Waiting at the lectern to be shown into the restaurant, only to be ignored (not a smile or "I'll be with you in just a minute", more than once) as staff go to/from the kitchen, is a little tedious. I would have mentioned this to the proprietors, but they weren't in evidence during our stay. All in all it was a good stay and we hope to be back.

The room was compact but very clean and the quirky uneven floorboards and slanted ceilings are all part of the charm of this small hotel. The gardens are pretty and great to sit in the sunshine reading, having a drink or afternoon tea etc. However for us there were two standout features of our short stay and these were the friendly, welcoming staff and delicious food which exceeded all our expectations. Great base for walking some of the Quantock AONB and also visiting Dunster Castle.

Combe House is a little tricky to find, you think you are going into a dead end. However, it's worth it. Very quiet hotel. Lovely comfortable room at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Buffet and cooked available. Don't understand the toaster! The evening meal was a limited menu, but very nice.

We didn't stay but stopped whilst passing on a long walk. My partner arrived first and had a drink by the lovely stream and then the rest of us arrived and had afternoon tea and cake on the lawn. Excellent tea, delicious cakes and friendly service - such a great place we will look to go back and stay sometime!
