The Apotek Guesthouse was clean but very small and cramped. Upon arrival, there was no one at the property to check in. The key was left on the front counter, There were other guests at the property who were loud late into the evening. Walls were thin and there was no one that we saw supervising the property onsite at any time throughout our stay. The room, which was small, had a support post that ran directly down from floor to ceiling, splitting the room and inhibiting movement throughout. The room and private bath were clean and beds were comfortable. Upon checking out, there again was no one onsite and there was no check out procedure. All in all a very disappointing experience with absolutely no customer service. I would not recommend.

Can’t recommend enough. Spacious rooms, comfy bed, FREE coffee machine. Friendly owner- who helped us with the dishwasher. Bargain find worth every penny. Would definitely stay again and will recommend. Hostel style but hotel rooms. 5*

Buen guesthouse en Höfn, tiene todo lo necesario. Las habitaciones son grandes y cómodas, sobre todo el baño. Te dejan suficientes toallas, geles de ducha y secador. Pero lo mejor de todo es poder usar su cocina. Mientras la dejes ordenada y limpia puedes cocinar por la noche. Nos gustó mucho la estancia. Además está cerca del supermercado.

Non ho soggiornato causa impossibilità di raggiungere Hofn da Vik per tempesta di neve, alcuni giorni prima, prima che scadesse il termine per la disdetta, avevo inviato un messaggio chiedendo indicazioni in caso di maltempo, in risposta mio assicuravano che era previsto bel tempo. Il giorno previsto per l' arrivo ci ha colto una forte bufera per cui ci siamo dovuti fermare in prossimità della laguna - ghiaccio, la strada era bloccata, così è stato per il giorno successivo, l'albergo non ha rinunciato al pagamento affermando che la strada era libera, ci siamo sentiti presi in giro.

We’ve stopped off at this guesthouse a number of times when we visit Vestrahorn. Every time we have been impressed with the cleanliness and comfort on offer. You get a lot for a very little price and it’s what keeps us coming back year after year. Breakfast is basic and consists of cereals and yoghurts but it’s included in your room rate. The guest house has a very hostel type vibe to it but that just adds to the pleasure of staying here.

This was my favorite of all the places we stayed in Iceland. It was clean, quiet, and the mattresses were extremely comfortable. Even though there are several rooms in this house and there was no more vacancy, we never heard any other people. The breakfast area was fine. It could have used a few more breakfast items. They did offer milk, yogurt, and coffee/tea. It was clean and super comfortable so would highly recommend and would stay there again.
