Moditlo River Lodge

We had an incredible and memorable family holiday at the Moditlo River Lodge. The hospitality of the staff, cleanliness of the room and facilities and food quality served exceeded our expectations! The chefs were excellent in the preparation of the meals and waiting staff most kind. Special thanks to the chefs and management for accommodating HALAL meat options for our dietary needs! The best part of the trip were the game drives. Rico (driver/guide) and Mdu (watcher/tracker) were an excellent duo for our 4 game drives. Their professionalism, experience, knowledge of the animals, humor, conduct and priority in safety were excellent! My kids, wife and I had an amazing and unforgettable experience as we tracked the Big 5 and more with Rico's skills and sense of adventure. Will definitely recommend the Moditlo River Lodge stay and game drives with Rico and Mdu to all our family and friends.

An amazing experience, beautiful lodge and great accommodation. The staff and trackers on our game drive were absolutely brilliant and very knowledgeable. Food and drinks were also fantastic and and great experience around the fire. A must see when you visit hoedspruit

We absolutely loved our stay at Moditlo River Lodge, we will be recommending it to all of our family and friends! All of the staff were so welcoming and efficient. We especially enjoyed our safari drives with Sidon and Chris, who went out of their way to make sure we saw as many animals as possible, while keeping us comfortable and safe.

This is one of the best stays I’ve had, the food was great, hospitality was amazing. The safari was well organised, we had Chris as our tracker and Sidon was our guide. The guys have a world of knowledge when it comes to tracking and general knowledge of the animals. They were quite often finding the animals before any of the other companies operating in the area. They will keep you safe, and also get you out of your comfort zone.
