Booking was challenging, as they are not a HOTEL but an apartment. On the day itself, the host has failed to gave us information on how to check in and gave us the room number details. We had to keep calling the Trip customer support in order to get a hold of them.
We were skeptical of the reviews given as we had booked the room way before there were reviews written but decided to give it a benefit of the doubt as we already arrived Ho Chi Minh.
Room was very dirty and dusty when we first checked in. Bedsheet was dusty and crumpled. Towels doesn’t feel fresh at all.
There is beg bugs on the bed.
Rooms are infested with ants from the main door all the way to the fridge, balcony, and toilets. They offered to switch room at a different building.
But there were no difference, the other room they offered had a stench and also infested by ants.
They asked housekeeping to come in, but it was only a temporary measure. The ants keep coming back, they told us they will refund us on the last night for the “inconvenience “
And asked us to change room AGAIN because they are calling the “exterminator “ to come in on our last night.
The ant colonies infestation has been there for quite sometimes and only now they decided to get an exterminator which i highly doubt will do the job as the host are trying to cut cost.
When we checked out, they send us a message said that because we didn’t change room therefore the refund is forfeited.
