A fab hotel in Hikkaduwa - the staff are all so friendly! The rooms are great - very comfy beds and a big modern bathroom. The pool was lovely and warm and the hotel is directly on the beach, so you can walk up the beach if you’re going out for the night or jump in a tuk tuk. We stayed for 3 nights and loved Hikkaduwa : )

A small traditional hotel almost on the outskirts of Hikkaduwa. We had a late check in (in the middle of the night), so they left us sandwiches and fruit in the room so we could have a snack. It was very nice. Quiet, cozy and beautiful. You live almost on the beach. They have adult and children's pools (which are connected into one). The most beautiful sunsets of my entire trip to this country. There are few people on the beach, it's quiet and cozy. There are sunbeds and umbrellas from the hotel. There are very high waves in this place, it was impossible to swim in the ocean (we were there for 5 days), we went only up to our knees, we could get our feet wet, something like that. There was a red flag - a warning of danger. We went swimming on the Turtle beach by tuk-tuk, but there are a lot of people there, and in particular russians who behave rudely and ill-mannered. Very tasty cuisine at the hotel, but also more expensive than other places in this resort. There were also many good cafes right on the beach nearby. I celebrated my birthday here and ordered a candlelit gala dinner. The approximate price was 150 dollars for two, the child was free. The cuisine was very exquisite, we had a separate table by the ocean, served lobster, tuna tartare, delicious appetizers and wine. They laid out a greeting phrase for me with flower petals. Then they brought out a cake and fireworks 💙💛 It was a wonderful celebration and the staff worked very hard to make everything go flawlessly. Thank you for a fantastic holiday! There is no children's playroom. They gave us a cool baby crib to sleep in. Very child-friendly, they constantly asked if we needed to prepare any special food for the child, although we did not ask and the buffet had a very decent selection. For breakfast - different types of eggs, pastries, sliced fruits and vegetables, sausages, pancakes, and salads. There is a fairly large number of staff for such a small hotel. They follow every customer around, constantly asking if they need anything. Sometimes it's too much. But it’s country’s tradition. Thank you for incredible vacation! 🌴

Nice locale and decent hotel but absolutely bad after-taste because of our experience with one person - tyrone zenoh. Right from being partial towards 'white-skinned' foreigners for small things like baby turtle launches to even rude service during bfast or dinner, his attitude completely killed the mood of the trip..to top it off his arrogance to say that keeping the ac on while keeping open the balcony door, is abuse of hotel, was ridiculous and unacceptable invasion of privacy. It felt as if he gave us money for staying instead of us having paid to stay there. Surprising to see in this day and age, people with colonial slavish mindset. Completely don't recommend this hotel to Asians or family trips because of this guy's s attitude. Unfortunately indians and srilankans share the same dna which seems to be completely lost to this fellow. Atrociously poor experience thanks to tyrone.

We stayed in this hotel between 9th feb to 11th February. Hotel rooms are good. Service is absolutely pathetic. Especially the person in charge of food and beverage department - TYONE ZENOH. This guy had zero decency and was peeping into our room. Moreover, he was racist despite him being his being a south asian and was giving preference and spl treatment to a select few. PLS DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. The bald man in white shirt is that pathetic person

From the moment we arrived to the hotel we were welcomed with a bottle of water and complimentary smoothie. Our room was perfect. Very modern and spotless. The hotel staff cleaned our room to perfection each day while we were out. All staff so friendly and accommodating, Breakfast was beautiful. 3 egg omelette, fresh fruit, fish and French toast every morning. A special thanks to Tyronne and all his staff in the restaurant who were a pleasure to meet every morning. Beach front location was perfect to wake up for a morning run and breakfast on the beach after.

What a beautiful and amazing location and hotel. I loved that it was almost boutique style. We upgraded our room and boy was that the most beautiful and breathtaking view with the waves almost touching our toes we were on the doorstep of the beautiful sound of crashing waves. The staff were super attentive and it was an all round relaxed vibe. The service is immaculate, even though the breakfast can do with including a few more things for guests to choose from, it was by far the best location and the pool was just the most serene pool. It’s family friendly, they included us in the Xmas eve dinner and it was so special. The releasing of the turtles was such a thoughtful little activity to do with the guests. I did not want to leave this place, I loved our room so much, we stayed in room 208. To us it was the presidential suite, our safe haven to recoup from our busy schedules and lives. The area of Hikkaduwa has imprinted on our hearts and the lucky elephant feels like home. We booked the airport transfer and were picked up swiftly, on time and driven 2 hours to the airport, thank u for this service, we took the same service back to the airport on our departure and our driver was the most amazing driver, taking much care to get us safely to the airport, such amazing humans in this country. What a special place with special people who are the beating heart of the hotel. We love u lucky elephant, the staff, The location and Hikkaduwa. Thank u for taking caring of us and for making us feel at home, allowing us to unwind, and forget the world for a while, we cannot wait to come back and stay in room 208 again.
