This is the second time I’ve stayed at the travel lodge High Wycombe for work. The first time in Feb I had to move rooms because of the noise from a shisha night club which backed on to the hotel. The staff were fantastic and moved me rooms and higher up the floors as this was a two week stay. During this stay of two weeks, walking through the lobby at night I had to climb over inebriated individuals passed out in the hallway at 11 at night. As a young female I was terrified of being followed in the elevators, the front doors were not secure, it isn’t in the nicest area of town and I felt very vulnerable. The second time I stayed (hoping the first was a blip) at the end of Apr, during this stay on both nights at 3am there was the same gang of homeless and intoxicated people. They were loud, aggressive and this is now the second time I have felt incredibly unsafe as a young woman in this establishment. I didn’t want to leave my room because I was unsure if there was still access issues. Needless to say, I have come away feeling tired, stressed and I will opt to stay elsewhere in the future. I feel very sorry for the staff that have to work here and put up with this, they were a very friendly and caring bunch. Travel lodge has an obligation to ensure their safety is upheld as well I do not believe they are doing this
