Absolutely beautiful country house b&b. Wonderful location in the gorgeous sussex countryside with stunning views.lovely thoughtful care and service by Sally.lots of great attention to detail in the rooms.bed was super comfortable, Good quality toiletries, bottled water,tea and coffee making facilities,bottle opener,hairdryer, cotton wool, USB sockets. Breakfast was amazing, great choice,freshly made beautifully presented high quality food.nothing was too much trouble for Sally. Highly recommend this lovely house if you're looking for somewhere to stay in sussex. Only 25mins from the coast

This property was pleasant and peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was very tasty.

A wonderful 6 nights spent here in the heart of the countryside. If you are looking to escape to the country for some peace and quiet then this is perfect. Wonderful character filled house. Perfect location to visit Herstmonceux Castle, Hastings, Battle, Pevensey, Eastbourne, Brighton. Great local walks for wildlife spotting. Amazing views. Exceptional breakfast! Sally is fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

A place like home Loved the place. Views from our room amazing Just a little bit dusty, but overall good quality toiletries and generous top notch biscuits with our tea tray. Breakfast lovely, shame about the tinned tomatoes instead of grilled tomatoes.

Small Room but Wonderful Breakfast A lovely property in a very rural location. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was bijou but comfortable and ideal for a one night stay.

Stunning views, amazing house! Sally was very welcoming and a great host! We stayed for two nights for a short weekend retreat, the views outside were stunning and the inside of the house was just as beautiful, everything was clean and tidy. If you are looking for somewhere to relax with peace this is definitely the place to go! We are definitely wanting to return again!

1st visit but I'll be back! Both Sally and her husband were amazing hosts - very friendly and ensured that my stay provided me with everything that I needed and more! I wasn't going to have breakfast but changed my mind on arriving at the house and so glad I did. Fabulous mushroom omelette accompanied with toast. Only downside is that they close at the end of the month and reopen in spring so I'll just have to wait for my next stay!!! On the plus side this means that they get time with their family which is so important and values that I hold high too! Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome.

Character and comfort Sally made us feel really welcome. The house dates back to the 1500s and so has all the character you would expect, with the modern comforts. Petit déjeuner / breakfast excellent choice and copious. Nothing to add … just perfect. We will be back.
