"A lovely holiday! Went on girls holiday in July and had the most amazing experience and time. The location was perfect less then 5 min walk to Malia strip. 10 min walk from the beach. 5 min walk to old town Malia. Supermarket at the end of the road. No need for taxis or Ubers due to ideal location. We had 2 rooms a 3 bed and a 2 bed. Both rooms had kitchen facilities and was beautful and spacious. The staff was amazing and the most loveliest and friendly team from bar staff to reception to security. Made you feel very welcomed and safe. The hotel had 2 large pools and plenty of sun beds. The food and drinks were great value for money and cheap and good quality. I would 100% recommended this hotel and would come back and stay in the future, no doubts or faults. Honestly "

"A lovely place to stay with the lads, walls were thick enough so we couldn’t here robert getting piped . Regardless, a nice place for a lads holiday but you might want to watch out for Ian. He’s an absolute specimen. The pool was lovely on hot days with the lads. Just watch out for Ian. Another review had issues with him as well so maybe it’s a theme."

"Mixed bag had 2 rooms as went as a family our room was ok but other room wasent as clean staff at breakfast and tea time were lovely pools were great for us as a family with a child food was ok something for everyone but salty towels provided at pools and beach says 5star but others members in family said compared to other place they have been it wasn't 5star the guest services lady was lovely the manager was lovely but the concierge was not very good I cancelled a restaurant as she dint book it for all of us still got a reminder as she had not cancelled it we could not book al la carte restaurants for all of us as we we told no room although the reception told us we could book 2 days before so book before you go on the Wednesday we got a phone call to the room to go to reception when we got their we were asked if we would like to go to the sister hotel rinella they said it was a marketing thing they do we did go to the sister hotel we had a nice time their but it is aimed at family's which is great but we have pros and cons from both hotels royal mare we perfured the lay out felt not so cramped and the shops were nicer pools better for kids and staff we nicer in rinella hotel felt very closed in shop wasent as good staff were not as nice pool was not good for kids as to deep and the paddling pool was only good for toddlers and baby's 2 of our party liked the food more here than the other hotel the way you could get crepes and snacks was better at rinella as you waited to get it yourself the waiter we had at our meal on the Friday evening was amazing think they said his name was george we were given a lovely room at rinella with sea view only downfall for me was the steps to get to it managed for the two days we were their but a week would not of been good as got a bad knee"

"There are many pomegranate trees. It is fun to squeeze your own juice for breakfast in the morning. On the last day, I found that the swimming pool behind the hotel reception is a heated swimming pool. It's just that the opening hours are too short."

"Tällainen upea hotelli parien Kreetassa. Henkilöstö kertoi meille, että se oli 95% työpaikka, mutta et koskaan tietäisi. Se ei tuntenut liian kiireinen. Auringon huoneistot ovat mukavasti tilaa erillään ja niin mukavaa toisin kuin muut hotellit. Tarjottu ravintoloita on todella mukava myös. Se on kaikki samalla alueella, mutta asetettu hieman eri vil à la carte-valikkoja. Olemme olleet viikon niin seikkaillut kaupunkiin ruokaa tai kaksi, joka rikkoi sen mukavasti. Hotelli oli poikkeuksellisen puhdas sekä henkilöstö jatkuvasti puhdistaa hotellin ympäri. aamiainen oli kaunis ja tuore myös. Paljon tarjouksia. Henkilöstö oli niin apua ja ystävällistä tehtiin se todella erityinen oleskelu."

"So the hotel was very good, the only problem was the reservation, I booked with trip with private jacuzzi, and when I arrived at the hotel there was no reservation with jacuzzi but only a basic room. I saw the reservation at the hotel so the error came from trip. They only reimbursed me 293 euros while the rooms without jacuzzi were at least 500 euros less.. Really disappointed, I don't think I'll book again on trip. But the hotel was great!!"

"The location is away from the main strip about 15 minutes walk from the strip of bars/shops/beach and a more lively atmosphere, so was perfect for quiet retreat with a bit more action within a shorts walk. The hotel itself is fairly accurately described in other reviews, definitely more a 2/3 star hotel, but for the price a good deal. We paid £1000 with flights for 2 weeks all inclusive, the hotel is dated but functional. The pool is nice, salt water and cold, they could do with better/movable and more sun shades, but otherwise is nice enough. The children's pool is very small. And in peak season they could do with a few more sunbeds Our room was functional, clean but dated, the air-conditioning worked space in the family room was tight. We asked for a room with less walking which they did accommodate, but if you have mobility issues the hotel is built into the hill, lots of steps and uneven ground, this is more due to the landscape though. 1 night of entertainment a week could have been increased and would have made a huge difference to the atmosphere. We enjoyed the 1 night that was put on. Food: breakfast was its saving grace, the rest was buffet style, very heavily local foods and flavours which wasn't unpleasant, but vegan and vegetarians would find eating very hard, plus labels on food weren't always great. The bar snacks were rolls or pizza with cake at 5pm. Drinks: these were just awful, super cheap undrinkable with mixers. 2 coffee machines that often ran out. But staff would fill up when asked. Staff: always friendly and helpful, super polite. We never felt rushed in the restaurant like some reviews made out. Overall, if you go expecting a budget hotel then you'll be fine. If you go expecting 4 star then you will be very disappointed."

"Hotelli on yksinkertaisesti erittäin kauniilla paikalla. Vähän liikenteen rantatien päässä. Kompleksissa on monia asuinrakennuksia (3 kerrosta). Siellä on 2 kaunista suurta allasaluetta. Lepotuolivalikoima on hämmästyttävä. On 3 erilaista erittäin mukavaa mallia. Joistakin lepotuoleista pääsee suoraan uima-altaalle. Siellä on myös kaunis yksityinen ranta-alue, jonne pääsee kadun toisella puolella. Huoneessa on ilmaisia lepotuoleja ja sateenvarjoja. Ruokavalikoima niin lounaalla kuin illallisellakin on erittäin hyvä, runsas ja herkullinen. Keitot, salaatit, kylmät ja lämpimät ruoat. Runsas aamiainen, josta mikään ei puutu. Juomia saa kaikkialta. Kakut ja ohukaiset uima-altaalla. Henkilökunta on erittäin ystävällistä kaikilla hotellin alueilla. Minulla ei ollut muuta valittamista kuin yksi pieni asia: silloin tällöin kissat kävelivät ruokasalin läpi. Muuten huippu laitos"

The pool gets sun all day, which is perfect for cooling off and relaxing on the sun loungers. There's a small beach with sun loungers just a 2-minute walk away, as well as the aquarium."

"Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Lyttos Beach. The hotel is clean, and the rooms and common areas are well-maintained. The food is decent, with a varied selection, although it didn't particularly impress us. The activities are a real highlight: there's something for both children and adults, and the entertainment team offers plenty of activities throughout the day. However, the beach was a huge disappointment. It's disastrous for those who enjoy swimming in the sea. The access is very rocky, making swimming difficult and unpleasant. If you're looking for a beautiful sandy beach with easy access to the sea for swimming, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. In short: the hotel is nice for its pools, activities, and cleanliness, but not for enjoying the sea. For us, the beach is a real drawback."
