A well run hotel. Ideally located near the M1 with free parking. Hotel was clean and modern. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was hot and freshly made and lots of choice. Strongly recommend!

A well run hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Greeted with smiles as soon as you walk into the reception. Breakfast is hot and fresh, good variety for breakfast and dinner. Free parking onsite. Rooms are very tidy and clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Hotel is close to the M1, ideal for commuters. Brilliant sleep. Thank you, Kian

Bed was so small you couldn’t roll over without getting out. Ended up being put in a disabled room with access buzzers and handles etc despite no need. Breakfast was under stocked for large periods

Best experience ever can't fault the staff the was great helped me with anything I needed especially mary and Jamie the staff members always saying hello to me and asking if I'm okay every time they are working I would highly recommend this travelodge best one I've ever stayed at definitely would come again

Stayed with family last weekend, check in was quick and efficient, room was great. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was fantastic, plenty of fresh hot food. What really stood out was how friendly the staff are, especially Jamie the manager who went out his way to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. He is a real credit to the Travelodge brand. 10/10 would recommend

We stayed at this hotel on the 30th March 2025 and can say it has changed for the better following Jamie's return as manager. The room was clean and well aired. There was a small problem with our door lock which was sorted professionally and efficiently by Renoo and Jordan. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we will definitely carry on using this hotel as our base when visiting family and friends.

We always use Hemel Gateway as our base when visiting family and friends in Hemel. The staff are very attentive and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We had a problem with our door lock and Renoo and Jordan sorted it out for us very efficiently, with minimal disruption to us. The hotel communal areas and the rooms are always super clean. The manager Jamie is very friendly and is a credit to the hotel. We always have a great stay and will continue to use this hotel whenever we come down South

Great reception bar an clean rooms comfy beds . Room needed aircon but windows opened fine. Bar service and members of staff personable and happy to help
