Village Knights Accommodation

Having recently spent four splendid nights at the Village Knights in Malta, I feel compelled to share the magic of our experience at this truly exquisite bed and breakfast. Tucked into the heart of Malta, this century-old building encapsulates the charm and hospitality of the island in a way that is unforgettable. Our hosts, Simon and Elvira, are the heart and soul of the Village Knights. Their attention to detail, friendliness, and genuine desire to ensure our comfort transformed our stay into something more akin to a visit with old friends rather than a mere vacation. Their service was impeccable and personal, often going above and beyond to cater to our every need and request. The frequent friendly chats we had were not just enjoyable, but truly set the Village Knights apart. The location of the B&B is a boon in itself. Nestled in the center of town, it acts as a perfect springboard for expeditions across the island. Yet, despite its central location, it retains an atmosphere of tranquility that provides a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of travel. One of the highlights of our stay was certainly the breakfasts served in the secluded garden next to the pool. There was something inherently calming about starting the day amidst the tranquil surroundings, the only interruption being the pleasant chirping of birds. The accommodations were no less impressive. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and provided a serene view of the pool. The silence of the night contributed to the sense of peace that pervaded the entire place. It’s clear that thought has been put into every detail of the furnishings. Each piece of furniture seems to tell a story, adding to the charm of this hundred-year-old establishment. And then, there was Whiskey - the owners' delightful cat. A delightful creature who welcomed us with her purrs every time we set foot in the garden, adding yet another layer of warmth to our stay. Returning to the Village Knights after a day of exploring felt like coming home - the entire place emanates a sense of tranquility, tastefully paired with a rich historical ambiance. In our numerous travels around the globe, our stay at the Village Knights ranks among the very best. The combination of the idyllic location, luxurious rooms, unparalleled service, and, above all, the warmth of our hosts made our time in Malta truly unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend the Village Knights to anyone looking for an authentically warm and personalized Maltese experience.

Globalement, plutôt bien que très bien. B&B en agglomération dans une rue tranquille. Centre ville accessible à pied en une dizaine de minutes. Accueil un peu oppressant de la propriétaire Elvira par le débit d’informations de choses à ne pas oublier ou ne pas faire. Son mari Simon est plus posé et de bon conseil. La demeure est superbe et richement décorée. Chambre très confortable (Pas de réfrigérateur mais frigo partagé dans la cuisine commune) Le petit-déjeuner sous forme de buffet est correct. La piscine est très jolie, non chauffée donc encore froide en mai. Le check-out est à 10h. C’est tôt, même si l’on peut rester ensuite dans les espaces communs plus longtemps. Très proche de la piste de décollage de l’aéroport, les avions pleine puissance se font bien entendre en journée. Place de stationnement devant l’établissement rendue gentiment libre par Elvira lors de notre arrivée. Ensuite pour se garer le lendemain ce fut plus compliqué. Dans l’ensemble, comparativement aux autres B&B de notre voyage de 10 jours, on a vu mieux sur le plan pratique mais l’endroit reste agréable.

Village Knights B&B offers exclusive accommodation with just four en-suite bedrooms. Elvira was the perfect host and went out her way to help us navigate the local area, which is great to access on foot or via the bus service. The B&B is spotlessly clean with a very pleasant garden and private pool. The breakfast included a wide choice of fruit, cereal, traditional Maltese cheese, meat platter, breads and local pastries. We certainly plan to visit again in the near future, as we had such a lovely time.

We adored the property of Elvira and her husband. The room was renovated with a great style, nice decorations and a great attention to details. We had everything we needed, the hosts were very helpful and generous. The place is located in a strategic position as it is possible to reach any point on the island in less than 30 min drive.

Our hosts Elvira and Simon made us feel so welcome the moment we arrived and this continued throughout our week-long stay where they made sure we had everything we needed or wanted. The room was very comfortable and clean with a nice view over the pool. it was great to have use of a kitchen / living area for when we wanted to eat in and we enjoyed sitting around the pool on our last sunny day. We hired a car and there was plenty of space to park on the roads nearby just a 2 min walk from the property and Haz-Zebbug was ideally located for exploring the whole island of Malta. The town itself is pretty and quiet with a couple of good restaurants we enjoyed, particularly the Lokomotif Cafe. We’re so pleased we found this lovely B&B and will surely return when we visit Malta again in future.

What a superb B&B, the perfect base for a holiday in Malta. Elvira is the most wonderful host, friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area. There was nothing that was too much during our 8 night stay. Elvira & Simon’s son Michael even made us lunch on our final day - an amazing Maltese treat! Breakfast was fantastic, cold meats and cheese, Maltese bread, eggs, fresh pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurt - exactly what you need before a day of sightseeing. We stayed in the Mdina room, which had a massive super king bed with balcony over looking the pool. It was great, very comfortable, and even had its own Netflix subscription. There is a great pool area for relaxing, quiet, not overlooked with a nice garden. We really enjoyed staying in Zebbug, very few tourists in what felt like a locals town. Some great restaurants and bars, can highly recommend Lokomotif, we ate there on 3 occasions and the food was superb every time. I cannot recommend Village Knights highly enough - it’s the perfect place for a trip to Malta, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist traps. Thank you Elvira & Simon!
