Leeming Wells

Leeming Wells is in the sticks, but not far from Haworth by car. Our room was ample in size and the zip-linked beds were very comfortable. The fittings are a little tired, but then again, we were not exactly paying 5* prices, so this is just a comment, not a complaint. We didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked fab. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and my lactose-free breakfast was top-notch with some very nice coffee. Our only gripe is that the room was very hot during the night, with the radiator thermostat control being 'all or nothing' on a very cold night. We will happily return on our next steampunk weekend, but next time I will try to find the heating sweet-spot between 1 and frost protection (Room 3). The secure parking was a bonus. All-in-all, I am giving our stay five stars because the price represented excellent value, and the pros easily outweighed the cons.

Wow a gem of a place hidden high in the countryside with beautiful scenery but close enough to villages and Haworth Super clean and staff very friendly and bonus a pool to use We booked an extra large double which was huge and plenty of tea coffee and biscuits

Quite remarkable. It is the first time that I have seen 4 Timothy taylor ales on sale in one place. the room was excellent clean and well presented. We were greeted well and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were first class and it was awonderful find for a stay. The breakfast was tremendous and I would recommend this location strongly for an overnight stay

This is a very good place. it is hard to find fault with the combination of comfortable rooms, the great pool and sauna, the lounge area, the amazing view, the good walk from the door and of course the pub with its excellent food and atmosphere. On this occasion one of our party fell ill and the staff and pub were really very helpful indeed. I could not recommend it more highly.

Warm, comfy, spacious and modern rooms with plenty of towels, tea and coffee. Breakfast was first class. Everything you need for a stay with a fabulous bar and restaurant next door. If you're in the area definitely recommend a stay here. Pool is added bonus to the venue

Beam in bedroom extremely low. Needs a sign on both sides. The guest accommodation was like a ghost ship. Never saw anyone on reception, no one in lounge, didn’t see anyone. Had to go to pub next door for the key. Room could do with a general upgrade. Very dated. Staff in the pub were lovely and friendly. The manager less so.

We had a 2 night stay whilst visiting friends in the area and would definitely go back. Lovely location with stunning views. Plenty of parking, friendly staff and the room was comfortable. Wifi is non existent which isn't great if traveling with teens. The pool and sauna were great and we enjoyed the breakfast in the dog and gun but the lack of any veggie option was the only let down. Reasonably priced for what you get.

Good.. Our room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and well presented. The pool is booked for sole use in 30 min slots, allowing to book an hour swim & sauna session. Lovely location and ease of parking Plenty tea/ coffee / biscuits / water and even a few sweets. Bad.. WiFi is dire & owners are fully aware of this issue. Our windows were old allowing road noise and wind to become a nuisance Poor sound insulation, could hear both sides snoring. Unmanned reception, from 5pm every day and totally over weekend Breakfast next door at the Dog & Gun, acceptable but no healthy alternative like yogurt or fresh fruit. We would consider returning if in area as finding a clean hotel / facilities these days is becoming very difficult!

I've been to the Dog and Gun many times over the years, dad used to live up this way. He passed several years ago and we wanted to revisit. We chose to stay at Leeming and it was perfect. The room was really clean and the beds were comfy. It was a windy night (outside!) but even though we were near the main road, it was really dark and quiet. A good sleep had by both me and my daughter. I used the spa area, the pool was clean and great and I also used the sauna. The view from both almost made you feel part of the moors whilst swimming and warming. For dinner we went to the pub and the food was perfect. 10/10. Service was great, food tasty, delivered quickly even though they were busy. Breakfast (piggy for me, no piggy for the daughter) was tasty and fresh. The eggs were amazing.. didn't think I'd ever say that, but I said, they're free range proper eggs... on leaving the landlord was out the carpark, he had his hands in his pockets and the chickens came from no where running as fast as their legs would take them. Knew the eggs were good, the chickens looked happy as anything. The landlord was friendly and had just the right amount of banter and left you to it the right amount too. If you want walks, or to visit Worth Valley Railway, or Haworth, I advise to stay here. Perfect location, quick drive or longer walk to Haworth, but views to take in amazing.
