The White Rock Hotel

This hotel is comparable to Fawlty Towers. Upon check in the two ladies were having a heated discussion for at least 5 minutes before they even spoke to us. I was then lead to my room via a lift from the 80s and corridors so narrow that you could not walk down them with your bags. Upon being left in the room I turned on the light only to find that the light switch gave a large electrical shock. While the rooms were ok, the furniture was outdated and worn and the "fire door" did not fit the frame. Leaving a large gap at the bottom allowing light and noise to stream directly into the room. Later, when the rest of the party checked in, they were given keys only to find that people were already occupying those rooms and therefore had walked in on them late at night. I would not recommend this hotel unless you enjoy the constant risk of electric shocks and being walked in on

We had a lovely 1 night stay. The room was basicfir a prenier king. It was clean but very tired. Fantastic views of the seafront. The staff were friendly an the bar staff were excellent. The breakfast was amazing. I feel the common parts could be cleaner, carpets and windowsills. On the whole it was very nice.

I am Victoria, my husband and I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel and it is an excellent option to rest, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and they have an excellent and unforgettable view of the sea the hotel staff is very friendly, but definitely what is most spectacular is the food, super delicious, fresh, excellent presentation and the portions are quite large lol, for this they earn more than 5 stars, really the best food we have ever tried, we leave satisfied and wanting to return. truly excellent experience The only aspect to improve is that the stairs or hallways are a bit narrow and the same goes for the elevator, thaaaaaank's

Excellent In every way. Staff are so helpful nothing too much trouble in bar dining room and reception. Room perfect view and spotless. Terrace bar is beautiful in the sunshine having lunch. Will definitely return in the near future. Car park small but always managed to find a space on return

I came with some friends to stay at this for three nights, we had a wonderful time and the food/drinks were wonderful. The bar staff are fantastic, hardworking and efficient, the reception staff are very kind. However, we left with a sour taste in our mouths due to the attitude of the owner/manager and his treatment of his staff. Shouting at them in front of customers, barking orders whilst he is sitting around doing nothing, being plain rude whenever he speaks to them. It truly disgusted me to see this behaviour directed towards such lovely staff. Something needs to be done about this as it is not only affecting the staff, but the experience of the customers too.

The staff are all very friendly and professional. Our room is spotless and the bed is very comfortable. We have been coming for short visits for at least 15 years and Laurence is continually updating the decor and facilities. Steak and ale pie meal tonight was just so good! And discovered amazing cherry lager❣️ Looking forward to our next visit⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
