This pub is in an absolutely idyllic location, just stunning. It's full of character with a lovely garden as well. We stayed for 1 night in the inn itself; great room, really comfortable. Food was superb for both dinner and breakfast. Great selection of beers and wines. The staff really make this place; all exceptionally helpful and so polite. From recommending wines to providing a walking map, they go out of their way for you. Our first stay here, we'll definitely be returning!

Absolutely loved our stay room view and en-suite fantastic really comfortable bed and great dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend staff were super friendly and extremely helpful thank you

A lovely pub in which to stay whilst doing a nearby section of the greensand way. The rooms were well appointed and we woke up with two baby rabbits on the door step. The pub was very busy hosting a supper club evening but they were still able to provide us with a very tasty supper. Breakfast was equally tasty and very generous. I had the full English and was almost incapable of doing the next 10 miles of our journey. Would love to return and take advantage of the hot tub!!

We stayed for one night as we were attending a friends party nearby. We had beautifully cosy room (very comfy bed!), a delicious breakfast and the staff were really welcoming. I’m only sad we didn’t get to try the supper menu as it looked fab and the pub had a great atmosphere.

Absolutely outstanding. Fabulous food, amazing service and gorgeous cocktails. We had a very lovely evening. Thank you to everyone for their hard work and for giving us somewhere that really feels like a treat to visit - such a difference to so many other 'gastro pubs'

We have never been more warmly welcomed any where we have ever stayed! The food was very good, our room was lovely, the bathroom is modern a clean (love the heated floors) but all of that was overshadowed by the lovely people and lively atmosphere . 10 out of 10!

Second visit to the Merry Harriers and it did not disappoint. Stayed in the Shepherd's Huts which as so gorgeous. Drinks round the fire pit followed by an amazing dinner to celebrate our friend's 50th birthday. Food is fabulous. Shout out to Kelly who looked after us so well. Can't wait to come back!

My partner and I booked one of the Shepherds huts for 1 night and we had an absolute fantastic time. The little huts have everything you need for a great stay. Dinner was definitely a 10/10, should they have the Monkfish on the menu - go for it! We will be back! Can highly recommend

Good atmosphere and good food, although there is a lack of choice for vegans and vegetarians. The menu is quite limited. It’s the service that really disappoints, slow and inattentive. This is our second visit and the service was worse the second time!
